Your focus will be on building immersive and gameplay-driven environments for project R.I.S.E. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in level art, environment dressing, and creating visually memorable spaces that support gameplay clarity and player experience. If you think that describes you, then we’d love to hear from you. ## What You'll Be Doing - Own the full level art set dressing process from gameplay Whitebox to final in-game environment. - Work closely with Level Designers, Concept Artists, and Art Directors to ensure visuals enhance gameplay mechanics. - Push concept art further in-game while balancing gameplay, technical, and performance constraints. Consider draw calls, polycounts, texture memory, readability, collision, and optimization during production. - Act as the bridge between Environment Art and other disciplines, keeping teams aligned early and throughout development. - Proactively raises risks, production issues, and visual concerns before they become bigger problems. - Help organize environment art production by planning tasks, sharing resources, and tracking progress. - Drive improvements in environment art workflows and production pipelines by collaborating with Tech Art to develop scalable tools, workflows, and content creation techniques. ## What You Have - 8+ years of work experience as a 3D Environment or Level artist - Has at least 1 shipped title. A top-down view is a big plus. - A strong understanding of form, silhouette, lighting, and color, especially in a cartoon or stylized art style. - Experience working with Unreal Engine 5 - Expert experience in modeling, sculpting, texturing, and materials - Expert experience in programs such as Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter/designer, and Photoshop - Able to communicate in English across disciplines, comfortable reading technical documents, and talking in English in meetings. - Proficiency in spoken Mandarin and English.
