For over 12 years, Andela has connected its customers with top global, remote technical talent from over 135 countries with the majority residing in emerging markets like Africa and Latin America. As one of the world’s largest talent marketplaces, Andela gives companies greater flexibility to quickly deploy qualified technologists. With talent highly skilled in advanced technologies to support Application Development, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud & DevOps, Data Engineering, and much more, customers experience 33% faster project delivery. The company’s exclusive AI-powered platform, Andela Talent Cloud, is the industry’s only unified platform managing the complete global talent lifecycle and enables customers to fill individual roles or engage fully managed teams up to 66% faster. Andela is on the precipice of two breakout industry transformations: one in staffing/hiring and the other in software development, both accelerated by generative AI. Are you exceptional and hungry to work in a scaling business through transformation and growth? Join us and change the world. Job Summary As the Marketing Manager, Middle East and Africa (MEA), you will be responsible for designing and executing the programs that build pipeline, strengthen brand presence, and accelerate revenue across the region. You will own end-to-end regional marketing strategy with a heavy emphasis on field events, account-based marketing (ABM), and pipeline generating campaigns that directly support the MEA sales team. You will operate as a collaborative partner to specialized marketers across Andela's global team — including growth, content, design, PR, and client marketing— bringing their capabilities to bear in the MEA market context. This role reports into the Senior Director of Marketing GTM Strategy and is based in South Africa or Nairobi, Kenya. Exceptional Leadership As an Andelan, you'll serve as a role model for the rest of the company — you do not need to manage people to be a leader at Andela! Think about the feedback your peers typically give you — if it usually sounds like the below, we want to hear from you. - Low ego, low drama: You share credit, take blame. You like being wrong because it means someone else had an even better idea. - One team mentality: You break silos across teams. You put the company and mission first above your team alone. - Great listener, hungry for feedback: You're always seeking to improve — our product, our business, yourself. You solicit diverse opinions and deeply listen. - Owner, not renter: You see a problem, you fix it or find someone who will. The buck stops with you. - Team-player: You roll up your sleeves and get scrappy. You do this by proactively collaborating with your team while actively engaging in important details that matter. - Business problem solver: You're not just a functional expert; you consistently get praise for approaching your function through the lens of solving business problems. ## Key Responsibilities Regional Event Strategy & Execution - Own the end-to-end planning and execution of Middle East and Africa events — including owned events, sponsored industry conferences, roundtables, webinars and executive dinners — aligned to pipeline and revenue goals. - Build and maintain a MEA events calendar, managing logistics, vendor relationships, budget, and post-event follow-up to ensure measurable ROI. - Partner with the sales team to ensure event audiences reflect target account lists, and that every event ties to a clear pipeline outcome. - Track and report on event performance including attendee quality, influenced pipeline, and cost-per-opportunity. Account-Based Marketing (ABM) - Partner with the Growth Marketing team to design and execute ABM programs targeting high-priority MEA accounts in collaboration with sales leadership. - Use account intelligence to both inform campaigns and support the regional sellers. - Measure ABM effectiveness at the account level, reporting on account engagement, pipeline created, and influenced revenue. Pipeline Generation & Demand Generation - Own regional pipeline contribution targets, developing programs that generate qualified opportunities for the MEA sales team. - Build and execute integrated campaigns — across email, paid, content, and events — that move target accounts through the funnel. - Partner with the global Growth Marketing team to localize and adapt global campaigns for the MEA markets, including messaging, channels, and timing. - Maintain a consistent drumbeat of regional campaigns, adapting quickly based on performance data and sales feedback. Sales & Cross-Functional Partnership - Act as the primary marketing partner to the MEA sales team, building a close working relationship with sales leadership to align on pipeline goals, target accounts, and priorities. - Collaborate with content, digital, and brand teams to pull global resources into regional execution — you are a multiplier, not a solo function. - Provide MEA market insights, competitive intelligence, and buyer feedback to inform global marketing strategy and messaging. - Work with the Revenue Operations team to develop regionally relevant sales enablement materials and outreach. - Collaborate with the team’s Africa-focused marketing and PR agency to scale efforts across the continent. Reporting & Optimization - Track, analyze, and report on regional marketing performance against brand awareness, pipeline, engagement. - Continuously test and iterate on program approaches, applying data-driven insights to improve outcomes over time. ## Qualifications ## Experience - Deep understanding of the cultural differences country-to-country across the region. - Pan-African marketing experience. - 7-9 years of B2B marketing experience, with a strong track record in field marketing, events, or demand generation roles, ideally within a high-growth technology company. - Demonstrated experience running field events end-to-end — from strategy and planning through to execution and post-event reporting. - Hands-on experience building and executing ABM programs, including target account selection, campaign orchestration, and measurement. - Experience working closely with sales teams and an understanding of how marketing contributes to the revenue funnel. - Experience working across time zones as part of a global team. - Experience marketing to NGOs and/or Governments is a plus. ## Skills & Capabilities - Strong project management skills — able to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously with a high degree of organization and attention to detail. - Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign data, draw actionable insights, and present results clearly to stakeholders. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels. Location - While Andela is a fully remote organization, this role should be based in South Africa or Kenya. - Some travel required for events and meetings. Andela is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. ## #LI-REMOTE ## #LI-RDR ## About Andela ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Andela operates a global talent marketplace and AI workforce platform that connects certified technologists with enterprises for hiring, training, and building production AI systems. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series E, unicorn status at $1.5 billion valuation in June 2021) - **Headquarters**: Lagos, Nigeria (remote-first company with employees in 22+ countries) - **Founded**: 2014 - **Founders**: Jeremy Johnson, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Nadayar Enagesi, Brice Nkengsa, Ian Carnevale, and Christina Sass ## Core Business - **Primary industry/industries**: Talent marketplace, AI workforce solutions, technology training and upskilling - **Target customers**: B2B – global enterprises, scale-ups, and unicorns (Fortune 500 companies); also technologists seeking remote opportunities - **Mission or purpose statement**: "We connect brilliance with opportunity" and "unlock human potential at scale" [andela.com](https://www.andela.com/) ## Products & Services - **Andela Talent Cloud**: A unified platform to manage the complete global hiring lifecycle — sourcing, vetting, matching, and managing remote technologists. - **Training as a Service (TaaS)**: Continuous pipeline of AI engineer cohorts trained and assessed to build, deploy, and operate production AI systems.
