As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll be working on a fast paced team responsible for the code that powers our ultimate goal of helping people invest and be smarter, happier and richer. Successful Fools have well-formed opinions (stemming from their broad experience) and the ability to jump right into code independently. But what does this role actually do? - Develop and maintain web applications using a variety of technologies, including but not limited to React, Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS and occasionally Python. - Collaborate with other team members on best practices for efficient and sustainable engineering, focusing on achieving a balance between aesthetics, scalability, and performance. - Provide and receive technical feedback through pair programming and code reviews. - Collaborate closely with design, product, and leadership teams to anticipate future needs and align our technology roadmap with long-term goals. What do you need to apply? - 5+ years of developing highly performant and scalable web applications - Proficiency with agentic workflows and AI-driven automation - High level of proficiency in React, Next.js, Typescript, GraphQL and REST APIs - Understanding of backend development using Python - Experience with AWS - Experience working with sophisticated application state, e.g. Apollo Client, Redux - Experience with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines for Python applications - Proven track record in high-performance teams - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills - Familiarity with security best practices in web development Compensation: Below is our target compensation range.
