That means no hidden fees, no predatory interest rates - just financial products designed to help our users spend smart, save more, and build real wealth. We’re a performance organization with a strong heart: we care deeply about outcomes, and everything ties back to our mission - to financially empower a generation of Canadians. At KOHO, we’re not your average 9-5. We believe real impact comes from people who are trusted, empowered, and supported to do their best work - without sacrificing their lives to do it. We prioritize work-life integration, not just work-life balance. That means asynchronous collaboration, flexible hours, and a remote-first setup built around autonomy and high trust. KOHO is entering its next chapter - leaner, smarter, more AI-integrated. We’re building for impact, not bureaucracy. If you thrive in environments that value clarity, ownership, and bold thinking, you’ll fit right in. ## About the Role At KOHO, Product Design is key to our brand identity and product differentiation. As a Senior Product Designer, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process. You will be using your skills in UI and UX design, product design, interaction design, visual / audio / motion design and prototyping to create product experiences that wow and deliver measurable value. We’re looking for someone who embraces innovation, including the use of Generative AI and other AI-powered tools to speed up workflows, explore creative solutions, and enhance design decision-making. Our dream candidate has a passion for understanding users and enjoys working closely with other designers, engineers, data analysts, and product managers to build the best banking experience for Canadians. ## What You’ll Do - Work with Product Managers to develop and refine product strategy and vision (not just ‘how it works, looks’ but ‘why it should be built’) - Prepare wireframes, user flows, process flows, customer journeys and other artifacts to effectively communicate interactions and design ideas - Work within an iterative design process: rapid prototyping, initiating user experience research, incorporating feedback, launching quickly and testing hypotheses in an agile environment - Work as a part of an end-to-end product development team: collaborating early with and providing design direction to engineers, understanding technical requirements of what it takes to implement your designs - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence all aspects of the product from copywriting to lifecycle marketing - Evangelize our Design-centric product development process, and act as a design mentor to other designers and cross-functional partners - Leverage AI tools to streamline the design process, and uncover user insights ## Who You Are - You bring 5+ years of experience on Consumer-facing products, with a focus on Mobile, thriving in fast-paced environments. - You communicate clearly and confidently, presenting your designs to a variety of audiences and articulating the rationale behind your decisions. - You apply user-centric design principles with ease, following web and mobile design standards and best practices, whilst challenging the status-quo. - You have a sharp eye for design and a deep understanding of how to craft intuitive, impactful user workflows. - You enjoy collaborating with others and are passionate about solving real user problems together. - You take initiative and navigate ambiguity with confidence, using your creativity and resourcefulness to find solutions. - You excel at solving complex problems and pride yourself on being highly self-sufficient. - You’re proficient in modern design tools like Figma. - You incorporate GenAI into your design workflows to boost creativity and efficiency. - You come prepared with a strong portfolio that showcases your product design skills and relevant experience. - You’re well-versed in designing for consumer-facing products, particularly in the social, financial, or broader B2C space. The budgeted salary range for this role is $135,000-175,000 CAD / year. At KOHO, we are dedicated to providing pay transparency to all candidates. Compensation at KOHO is determined through various factors including but not limited to: comparable salary market data within Canada, technical skill assessment, a holistic view of previous work history, and internal pay equity with other KOHO team members.
