## The role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with 10+ years of experience to lead complex digital programs and strategic client engagements. This role is ideal for an experienced delivery leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at stakeholder management, and brings a strong balance of operational rigor, client partnership, and business acumen.

## What you'll do

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex digital initiatives from planning through execution while ensuring delivery excellence, financial health, stakeholder alignment, and client satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Lead and manage complex digital projects and programs, ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Run, support, and evolve retainers, fixed-price engagements, and Time & Materials contracts.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure effective execution across workstreams.
- Drive delivery across multi-brand, multi-site, and multi-market digital programs, ensuring governance, consistency, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, risks, and success metrics in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Create and maintain project roadmaps, delivery plans, and execution strategies.
- Develop, refine, and manage project and product backlogs using Jira.
- Ensure proper staffing, resource allocation, capacity planning, and delivery readiness.
- Apply effective risk management practices to proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate issues and dependencies.
- Monitor project performance through KPIs, dashboards, reporting frameworks, and data visualization tools to support informed decision-making.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive project documentation and governance processes.
- Manage client relationships and stakeholder expectations through clear communication, transparency, and proactive problem solving.
- Own engagement health, including delivery quality, financial performance, forecasting accuracy, and overall client satisfaction.
- Support project financial management, including revenue forecasting, invoicing oversight, budget monitoring, and expense tracking.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance planning, collaboration, reporting, and delivery efficiency.
- Partner with account leadership to identify growth opportunities within existing client engagements.
- Mentor and support Project Managers and delivery professionals while promoting project management best practices across teams.

Must-have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager within digital agencies, consulting firms, product engineering firms, or technology organizations.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end digital product development and software delivery initiatives.
- Experience working with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence, and planning tools such as MS Project or similar.
- Experience managing both Fixed Price and Time & Materials engagements.
- Experience delivering Agile projects and working with pod-based delivery models.
- Practical experience leveraging AI tools in everyday work to accelerate project and product delivery.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, scope management, risk management, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Experience building, interpreting, and utilizing dashboards, KPIs, and delivery metrics to drive decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Solid technical background with the ability to work closely with engineering teams and address technical, integration, and accessibility considerations.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in dynamic delivery environments.

Nice-to-have qualifications

- Experience delivering digital programs for health systems, payers, or life sciences organizations, including work with clinical, marketing, and IT stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the healthcare digital ecosystem, such as EHR-connected patient experiences (e.g., Epic MyChart), provider directories and scheduling, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, PHIPA), and WCAG accessibility considerations.
- Previous Product Owner experience, including backlog prioritization and translating business goals into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience delivering on Adobe Experience Manager (including Edge Delivery Services) or similar enterprise CMS platforms.
- Experience delivering programs across multiple brands, sites, or business units.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- PMP, Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent certifications.

The benefits

This is a full-time position based in Canada. The offered salary range is 130,000 - 150,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and location.

Valtech offers a comprehensive benefits package effective after three months of continuous service:

- A comprehensive insurance plan, where you can choose the module that best suits your needs—Gold, Silver, or Bronze. The employer may contribute up to 80% of your coverage depending on the selected module. This plan includes short- and long-term disability coverage.
- Dialogue via Sun Life provides virtual healthcare services, allowing you to consult with a healthcare professional for emergencies, prescription renewals, and more. You also have access to the Employee and Family Assistance Program, as well as a complete mental health support program.
- A $500 Personal Spending Account, which can be used for healthcare reimbursements, gym memberships, public transit passes, office supplies, or contributions to your RRSP through Valtech.
- A retirement plan where Valtech will match 100% of your RRSP contributions through a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), up to a maximum of 4%. You can start contributing to your RRSP immediately, and to the DPSP after 3 months. The vesting of the DPSP will be after a 24 months of service.
- Access to a flexible vacation under Valtech's policy to support your work-life balance, with 5 days available during your probation period and a prorated amount calculated for the remainder of the year.
- Personal Technology Reimbursement – $30/month for every employee-offered on day 1.
- We close during the winter holidays and offer flexible scheduling throughout the year, so you can enjoy those sunny Friday afternoons—provided your weekly hours are completed.
