Form Energy is an American manufacturing and energy technology company. We’re revolutionizing energy storage with cost-effective, multi-day technology designed to keep the electric grid secure and reliable, even during extended periods of stress. By strengthening the electric system and reimagining what’s possible, we’re giving clean energy a whole new form! In recent years, Form Energy has earned a number of accolades, including being named by TIME as a “Best Invention”, MIT Technology Review as a “Top Climate Tech Company To Watch”, and Fast Company as “One of the Next Big Things In Tech”. We are making rapid progress on our mission of delivering energy storage for a better world, and our team is growing just as rapidly to meet demand. We have signed contracts with leading electric utilities across the United States and production of our iron-air batteries is underway at our first high-volume manufacturing facility in West Virginia. Working for Form Energy is more than just a job, it’s a chance to be part of something extraordinary. And now - right as we significantly scale up battery manufacturing -  might be the most exciting moment in the company’s history to join. We are assembling a team of highly talented and driven individuals across the country. Driven by our core values of humanity, excellence, and creativity, our team is determined to deliver on our mission and transform the energy landscape for the better. Feeling energized to make a meaningful impact on the world? Then keep reading - you’ve come to the right place. ## Role Description Form Energy is hiring a Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Electrical Assemblies to serve as the definitive technical and quality authority for our contract-manufactured custom wire harness and cable assemblies used across power conversion and electromechanical systems, box builds, and skid-level integrations such as power conversion equipment. Reporting to the Manager, Supplier Industrialization Engineering (Electromechanical), you will own the end-to-end industrialization lifecycle for custom harnesses — from early DFM/DFA and supplier selection through mass production and “cradle-to-grave” quality accountability. As a Senior level engineer, you will architect the PPAP and APQP frameworks that ensure our harness suppliers deliver at the reliability and scale Form Energy needs. This is a hybrid role, which will require working onsite from one of our offices 3+ days per week. Relocation assistance is available. What you'll do: - Establish Strategic Standards: Lead the development and execution of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) frameworks for electrical assemblies to ensure flawless product launches. - Cradle-to-Grave Ownership: Drive the entire product industrialization lifecycle, from influencing early Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to managing end-of-life quality dispositions and continuous improvement. - Lead Complex Resolutions: Resolve high-impact, complex technical issues at supplier sites by coordinating cross-functional teams (Design, Reliability, and Test) to implement robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). - Architect Production Success: Determine the methods and procedures for new supplier programs, supervising supplier resources to ensure Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and yield targets align with Form’s long-term scale. - Drive Supplier Accountability: Act as a project leader and mentor, holding domestic and international CMs accountable to rigorous industrialization timelines and world-class manufacturing standards. - Organizational Impact: Network with key stakeholders to align supplier capabilities with Form Energy’s technology roadmap, traveling (20%) to audit sites and verify process stability firsthand. What you'll bring: - 5-7+ years of experience in new product development and manufacturing of large electromechanical assemblies (e.g., electrical panels, integrated skids, box builds). - BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. - Deep experience implementing PPAP, conducting SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request) investigations, and managing supplier quality systems. - Demonstrated mastery in developing design documentation (BOMs, drawing packages), assembly testing, and optimizing manufacturing/assembly processes for cost and scale. - Ability to lead without formal authority, removing "blocks" for the team and providing technical mentorship to both internal peers and external partners. - Extensive experience in the build, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage or high-power electrical equipment. - Excellent communication and organizational skills #LI-Hybrid ## #LI-TS1 Humanity is a cornerstone of Form Energy’s culture, and we make sure our compensation and benefits reflect that. Form Energy offers competitive salaries, stock options, and a holistic benefits package to ensure all employees have what they need to thrive while working here. When it comes to you and your family’s health, we cover 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums for full-time employees - and 80% of healthcare premiums for dependents. This starts from day one. We also offer at least 12 weeks of paid leave for new parents (up to 20 weeks for birthing parents), and generous vacation policies to give employees time to recharge when needed. To build America’s energy future, we need everyone at the table. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply to our open jobs.
