We are looking for a senior, hands-on Test Engineer to own and drive production test strategy across the full silicon lifecycle - from bring-up and characterization through Wafer Sort, Final Package Test, and into high-volume manufacturing. This is not a maintenance role. This is a build role. We want someone who can take ambitious product goals, incomplete information, and fast-moving silicon programs and turn them into robust, scalable test solutions that protect quality, accelerate yield learning, and enable production ramp. You will play a critical role in defining how Mythic ships reliable silicon. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-ownership environments and wants to work across design, DFT, product, reliability, and manufacturing to build the company's production test foundation the right way from the ground up. You should be equally comfortable setting strategy and getting deep into hands-on test development, debug, data analysis, and manufacturing execution. ## What you'll own - Drive Mythic's end-to-end production test strategy across Wafer Sort, Final Package Test, characterization, screening, and volume ramp - Develop and optimize production test programs for new silicon products - Build test methodology, coverage strategy, release criteria, and screening philosophy from the ground up - Partner closely with design, DFT, product engineering, reliability, and manufacturing teams to ensure production readiness - Support silicon bring-up, characterization, correlation, guardbanding, and test transfer into manufacturing - Analyze test data to identify yield issues, systematic failures, escapes, and opportunities to improve quality and efficiency - Work directly with OSATs, foundries, ATE vendors, and internal teams to deploy and sustain high-quality test flows - Make smart tradeoffs across test coverage, cost, throughput, quality, and ramp velocity - Improve infrastructure, automation, and analytics for production test and yield learning - Lead from the front as an individual contributor who is comfortable getting deep into code, hardware, data, and debug ## What we're looking for - Significant experience in semiconductor test engineering, product engineering, or production test development - Strong hands-on ownership of Wafer Sort and Final Package Test - Experience developing, debugging, and releasing test programs on ATE platforms in real production environments - Deep understanding of manufacturing test flows, device screening, test coverage, guardbanding, and outgoing quality - Experience supporting silicon bring-up, characterization, yield ramp, and production release - Strong debug instincts and data fluency; you know how to find signal in noisy manufacturing data - Experience working cross-functionally with design, DFT, product, reliability, and operations teams - Comfortable operating with urgency, ambiguity, and a high bar for execution - Builder mindset: you do not wait for perfect structure - you create it ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience with AI, accelerator, high-performance compute, or mixed-signal silicon - Familiarity with Advantest, Teradyne, or similar ATE platforms - Experience with probe cards, load boards, hardware interfaces, and test hardware debug - Knowledge of DFT structures such as scan, MBIST, boundary scan, or related production test features - Experience working with OSATs and external manufacturing partners - Strong scripting, automation, and test-data analysis skills - Experience improving test time, yield, correlation, and manufacturing efficiency at ramp What success looks like - Wafer Sort and Final Test flows are robust, scalable, and ready for production - New products move from silicon bring-up to manufacturing with strong coverage and fewer surprises - Yield issues are identified early and driven to root cause fast - Test programs are stable, efficient, and built for scale - Mythic ships higher-quality silicon with better visibility, faster learning cycles, and stronger production confidence ## Why this role matters At Mythic, test is not the final checkbox. It is a core part of how we build reliable products and scale advanced silicon into the real world. This role sits at the center of that mission. You will influence product quality, manufacturing readiness, ramp execution, and long-term scalability. You will work on meaningful technical problems with direct impact on whether great silicon becomes a great product. If you want a role where you can own critical decisions, build systems that matter, and help define the future of AI hardware, we should talk. ## Why Mythic - Work on ambitious AI hardware with real technical depth - Own critical test strategy at a company where your work will directly shape production outcomes - Join a highly collaborative team solving hard silicon and system challenges - Move fast, make decisions, and build from first principles - Have outsized impact in a role with real scope and visibility ## Equal Opportunity Mythic is committed to building an inclusive team and encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply. ## About Mythic ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Mythic is a semiconductor company developing analog compute-in-memory (CIM) processing units that deliver up to 100x greater energy efficiency for AI inference at the edge, in automotive, and in the data center. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series C; total funding $290.4M as of 2021) - **Headquarters**: Austin, Texas, United States (with offices in Silicon Valley, Vancouver, and Bangalore) - **Founded**: 2012 - **Founders**: Mike Henry, Dave Fick, and Laura Fick (co‑founder and Chief Analog Compute Architect) ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Semiconductor manufacturing – AI hardware accelerators - **Target customers**: B2B – OEMs and system integrators in automotive, defense, robotics, industrial IoT, and enterprise data centers - **Mission statement**: “Enable a new era of AI performance and innovation by making it easier and more affordable to deploy powerful AI solutions, from the data center to the edge device.” ## Products & Services - **Mythic APU (Analog Processing Unit)**: A chip built on analog compute-in-memory architecture that stores AI model weights inside flash memory and performs computation directly at the source, eliminating the energy wasted by moving data between processor and memory.
