We've raised Series B funding and reached 300+ million users worldwide, processing over 5 billion images annually and serving both small businesses and major enterprises like Amazon, DoorDash, and Decathlon through our mobile app, web platform, and API. We're a remote-friendly team of 100+ passionate builders giving e-commerce businesses superpowers to create visuals that help them grow, making the hardest parts of selling online disappear. We focus on craft, innovation, and collaboration, creating exceptional impact for e-commerce businesses worldwide. ## ROLE SUMMARY We're looking for a Senior User Acquisition Manager to own and scale Meta — Photoroom's largest paid channel — as we shift toward acquiring SMBs at scale. You'll drive spend, ROAS, and SMB growth on Meta and act as the connective tissue between paid acquisition and our in-house creative team, turning performance signals into the creative hypotheses that win. You'll work hand-in-hand with our Creative team, our Data/measurement function, and Product. Compensation: 60,000€ to 70,000€ + Stock-Options/BSPCE Location: Work from Paris, with a hybrid model in our HQ office ## ABOUT THE ROLE - Own and scale Meta (7-figure monthly budget), consistently hitting ROAS and LTV:CAC targets while accelerating the shift of spend toward SMB/business audiences. - Drive the creative feedback loop end-to-end: mine Meta performance for what wins and what loses, generate creative hypotheses, and give the in-house creative team structured, data-backed direction so the pipeline of winning ads never runs dry. - Build and run a high-velocity testing engine across audiences, creatives, campaign structures, and micro-personas — shipping fast to learn and compounding insights into the SMB pivot. - Connect channel performance to unit economics and incrementality, partnering on attribution and measurement so spend decisions reflect true incremental value rather than last-click. - Work AI-native: build your own tooling and automations to make UA faster and more autonomous (we're an AI company — internal tools, automation, and agentic workflows are encouraged and celebrated here). ## ABOUT YOU - 4+ years in performance marketing with deep, hands-on Meta expertise, managing six-figure monthly budgets against LTV:CAC targets. - A proven track record of partnering closely with creative teams. You don't just consume creative, you generate hypotheses from data, brief, and close the loop. - Strong analytical depth: comfortable with attribution, incrementality, and unit economics, and able to tie channel decisions to business outcomes. - High agency and ownership: you take ambiguous, undefined problems and drive them through to shipped outcomes without waiting to be told. - A candid, collaborative, team-first operator who makes the people around you better. You communicate openly, give and take feedback well, and strengthen the whole team. - An AI-native way of working — you build tools and automate workflows (e.g. with Claude Code or similar) rather than waiting on eng/data. - [Nice-to-have] Experience marketing to SMBs or in PLG/SaaS (Canva, Shopify, Wix, Vista-type environments). If you think you have what it takes but don't meet every single point above, please still apply. We'd love to chat and see if you could be a great fit. ## BENEFITS - Regular team gatherings, including in-person onboarding in Paris (1-2 weeks), yearly company offsite and team retreat, quarterly in-person meetings (monthly during probation period), and social events like winter party and hackathons. - 30 days annual leave plus local public holidays - Competitive equity package with stock options/BSPCE, giving you ownership in our growing company - €1,000 annual learning and development budget for training, courses, books, and skill development - Private health insurance - Access to personalized mental health support, including 1:1 sessions with therapists or coaches, self-care tools, and well-being resources via MokaCare - Sports and cultural activities reimbursement - Relocation support (up to 10k) available for those choosing to move to France, including apartment finding and visa assistance. Note: Visa sponsorship and relocation support are only available for positions based in France. We cannot sponsor visas for remote positions outside of France. ## HIRING PROCESS 1. Screening call with Talent Manager (30min) 2. Technical interview with Hiring Manager (45min) 3. Take-home assignment (duration varies by role) and live review with the team (45min) 4. Culture fit interviews and meet the team (~3h in total) 5. Reference check and offer Support: We value diversity and aim to create an inclusive experience for all applicants. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to make the process more accessible for you. DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING We're committed to enabling everyone to feel included and valued at work. We believe our company and culture are strongest when composed of diverse experiences and backgrounds. That's also why we have flexible working hours, trust people to work remotely, and extended parental leave. All qualified applicants receive consideration for employment without regard to age, color, family, gender identity, marital status, national origin, physical or mental disability, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws. ## About Photoroom ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Photoroom is an AI-powered visual production platform that enables e‑commerce businesses to create professional product images at scale. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series B, $63.3M total funding) - **Headquarters**: New York, United States (with a major office in Paris, France) - **Founded**: 2019 - **Founders**: Matt (surname not publicly available) and Eliot Andres ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: AI photo editing and visual production for e‑commerce - **Target customers**: B2B (SMB to enterprise) and B2C (mobile app users) - **Mission / Purpose**: “Enable entrepreneurs and small businesses to compose images that stand out” (photoroom.com/company) and “Sell at first sight” (photoroom.com) ## Products & Services - **Mobile App**: AI-powered photo editor with background removal, text, and effects – used daily by millions; featured by Apple and Google. - **Image API**: REST API for integrating AI editing (background removal, batch processing) into existing workflows; supports custom endpoints and Brand Kit rules. - **Batch Edit**: Run AI edits across thousands of images in one pass via API or web app; includes automated QA and brand-rule enforcement. - **Marketplace Sync**: Publish on-brand images directly to Shopify and other marketplace feeds. - **Brand Kit**: Centralized rules for backgrounds, padding, colors, logos, and formats – applied automatically with role‑based access. - **Custom AI Models**: Enterprise‑only models trained on a customer’s own catalog for product fidelity. - **Enterprise Plan**: Custom models, dedicated capacity, SLA‑backed uptime, SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, and GDPR adherence. ## Market Standing - **Valuation**: $500 million (Forbes, as of early 2024) - **Key Metric**: $11 million annual revenue (LinkedIn estimate); $63.3 million total funding - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Y Combinator, Balderton Capital, Aglaé Ventures, Adjacent, Nico Wittenborn, and Yann LeCun (advisor) - **Growth Signals**: - 1 million+ businesses using the platform - 7 billion images processed per year - Profitable – one of the few profitable generative AI startups (TechCrunch) - Headcount of 159 employees, up 30.5% YoY - Acquired GenerateBanners in May 2025 - #1 mobile app in 40+ countries ## Competitive Advantages - **E‑commerce‑specific AI**: Models built to hold product details accurately, reducing mismatches between listing and delivery. - **Brand consistency at scale**: Brand Kit enforces rules automatically across all channels, eliminating manual QA. - **No vendor lock‑in**: REST API allows customers to swap models without rewriting workflows. - **Enterprise‑grade trust**: SOC 2 Type 2 certified, GDPR compliant, and backed by an Enterprise Guarantee (pay only for passing outputs). - **Custom AI models**: Trained on a customer’s own catalog for superior fidelity. ## Strategic Focus - **Enterprise expansion**: Growing the B2B Enterprise segment with custom models, dedicated capacity, and SLA‑backed uptime. - **Automation at scale**: Deepening batch editing, marketplace sync, and API integrations to handle millions of SKUs. - **AI model leadership**: Continuously improving proprietary models while offering flexibility to adopt new ones. ## Why Work Here - **Culture**: “Small team, BIG impact” – emphasis on quality over quantity in hiring, “ship fast to learn,” “build it, own it,” and “stay open.” - **Work environment**: Remote options available for many roles (Paris or remote in France); offices in Paris and New York. - **Values**: Candid feedback, transparency, and personal growth. - **Tech stack**: FastAPI, Async Python, Rust, modern cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Cloudflare). - **Perks**: Profitable and fast‑growing company, opportunities to work on cutting‑edge AI, and a product used by millions. - **Open roles**: Senior engineers (SRE, backend, Rust), product managers, designers, marketing, and legal – 55 active job postings (as of mid‑2025). ## Sources 1.
