The Inventor UX team is part of the Inventor Acceleration and Services organization within Woven City Management. Our team supports inventors coming to Woven City in planning and conducting their research and experiments through UX research, design, and advanced technologies. We work closely with inventors to enable effective experimentation and data-based decision-making. We are looking for a Senior UX Researcher who can design and lead applied research for inventor-led experiments in Woven City. In this role, you will work directly with inventors to plan and execute user research for PoCs across domains such as VR, robotics, and mobility, while providing data-driven direction and consultation. This role requires strong stakeholder communication skills, and prior experience in a research agency or consulting environment is highly valued. You will report to the Inventor UX Manager within Inventor Acceleration and Services and collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and technology teams. ## RESPONSIBILITIES - Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research for inventor-led PoCs and experiments particularly in domains such as robotics and mobility - Plan and execute user studies using a range of research methods, including VR-based evaluation, biometrics, surveys, interviews, and market research - Analyze research data and provide evidence-based recommendations to inventors and stakeholders - Communicate & Mentor – Engage in cross-functional discussions, advise peers and managers, lead post-mortems to improve practices, and mentor team members to grow research capabilities - Manage end-to-end research activities including planning, execution, reporting, and stakeholder alignment ## MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - 10+ years of experience in UX Research, Product or a related research role - Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Factors, Human Robot Interaction, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field - Experience in a client-facing research role (e.g. research agency, consulting firm, or equivalent) - Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese (JLPT N1 or above) ## NICE TO HAVES - Experience working with emerging technologies such as XR (VR, AR), robotics, mobility - Familiarity with biometric research methods for user experience evaluation (e.g. eye tracking, HRV, GSR etc.) - Experience with advanced research and data analysis tools (e.g. Databricks, Python, R, Qualtrics) - Experience supporting early-stage product development through consulting for startups ========================================================================= Important Points ・All interviews will be arranged via Google Meet, unless otherwise stated. ・The same job descriptions are available in both English and Japanese; therefore, we kindly ask that you apply to only one version. ・We kindly request that you submit your resume in English, if possible.
