For more than a decade, we have bridged this gap by connecting organizations with elite, remote technical experts across 135 countries, focusing on high-potential emerging markets throughout Africa and Latin America. As a premier global talent marketplace, Andela provides the agility needed to scale technical teams with precision. Our network specializes in critical fields such as AI, Cloud, and App Development, helping partners accelerate project delivery by 33%. Through the Andela Talent Cloud, our proprietary AI-driven platform, we offer the only end-to-end solution for managing the global talent lifecycle, reducing hiring times by up to 66%. We stand at the forefront of a dual shift in recruitment and software engineering, fueled by the power of generative AI. If you are a high-impact professional eager to drive innovation in a fast-scaling environment, we invite you to join our mission and help us change the world. Job Summary As the Social Media Specialist at Andela, you will manage our social media presence across paid and organic channels, with a strong emphasis on LinkedIn and other B2B platforms. You will develop and implement strategies that grow Andela’s brand, drive audience engagement, and generate demand. This role sits at the intersection of content, growth, and brand — requiring both a creative eye and a data-driven mindset. You will report to the Director of Growth Marketing and collaborate closely with team members across the marketing organization. Exceptional Leadership As an Andelan, you’ll serve as a role model for the rest of the company — you do not need to manage people to be a leader at Andela! Think about the feedback your peers typically give you — if it usually sounds like the below, we want to hear from you. - Low ego, low drama: You share credit, take blame. You like being wrong because it means someone else had an even better idea. - One team mentality: You break silos across teams. You put the company and mission first above your team alone. - Great listener, hungry for feedback: You’re always seeking to improve — our product, our business, yourself. You solicit diverse opinions and deeply listen. - Owner, not renter: You see a problem, you fix it or find someone who will. The buck stops with you. - Team-player: You roll up your sleeves and get scrappy. You do this by proactively collaborating with your team while actively engaging in important details that matter. - Business problem solver: You’re not just a functional expert; you consistently get praise for approaching your function through the lens of solving business problems. ## Key Responsibilities Organic Social Media - Manage Andela’s organic social presence across LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant B2B platforms, ensuring a consistent brand voice and high-quality content. - Develop and maintain a social media content calendar aligned to marketing campaigns, product launches, thought leadership initiatives, and company milestones. - Create, curate, and publish compelling content that resonates with B2B audiences including technology buyers, enterprise leaders, and talent decision-makers. - Engage with followers, respond to comments, and actively build community around Andela’s brand and mission. - Collaborate with content, brand, and PR teams to amplify key company stories and campaigns across social channels. - Identify and support employee advocacy initiatives that extend Andela’s organic reach and elevate executive thought leadership. Paid Social Media - Plan, build, manage, and optimize paid social campaigns to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and pipeline contribution. - Own targeting strategy, ad creative briefs, budget pacing, and performance optimization across paid social campaigns. - Align paid social with broader integrated campaigns and account-based marketing efforts. - Run A/B tests on creative, copy, audiences, and placements; apply learnings to continuously improve campaign performance. - Manage campaign budgets and ensure spend is optimized toward measurable, pipeline-generating outcomes. Analytics & Reporting - Track and report on key social media KPIs. - Use data to surface insights and make recommendations that improve both content strategy and paid performance over time. - Monitor the competitive landscape and social trends relevant to the B2B tech and talent industry, and proactively bring ideas to the team. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with content, design, and growth teams to ensure social assets are on-brand and aligned to campaign goals. - Partner with the external relations team to amplify PR moments, executive thought leadership, and company recognition. - Provide social media guidance and best practices to internal stakeholders and executives building their personal brand on LinkedIn. ## Qualifications ## Experience - 3–4 years of experience in social media marketing, with a clear and demonstrable focus on B2B audiences. - Hands-on experience managing both organic and paid social programs. LinkedIn expertise is essential. - Track record of growing social audiences and driving measurable engagement in a B2B context. - Experience working within or alongside demand generation or growth marketing teams is a strong plus. ## Skills & Capabilities - Strong content creation skills — you can write compelling copy and brief creative effectively for B2B audiences. - Comfortable with analytics platforms and able to translate data into actionable recommendations. - Proficiency with social media management tools such as Sprout Social. - Excellent written communication and attention to detail. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment. Location - While Andela is a fully remote organization, this role should be based in the US, Canada, or the UK. - Some travel may be required for team off-sites and events. #LI-Remote ## About Andela ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Andela operates a global talent marketplace and AI workforce platform that connects certified technologists with enterprises for hiring, training, and building production AI systems. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series E, unicorn status at $1.5 billion valuation in June 2021) - **Headquarters**: Lagos, Nigeria (remote-first company with employees in 22+ countries) - **Founded**: 2014 - **Founders**: Jeremy Johnson, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Nadayar Enagesi, Brice Nkengsa, Ian Carnevale, and Christina Sass ## Core Business - **Primary industry/industries**: Talent marketplace, AI workforce solutions, technology training and upskilling - **Target customers**: B2B – global enterprises, scale-ups, and unicorns (Fortune 500 companies); also technologists seeking remote opportunities - **Mission or purpose statement**: "We connect brilliance with opportunity" and "unlock human potential at scale" [andela.com](https://www.andela.com/) ## Products & Services - **Andela Talent Cloud**: A unified platform to manage the complete global hiring lifecycle — sourcing, vetting, matching, and managing remote technologists. - **Training as a Service (TaaS)**: Continuous pipeline of AI engineer cohorts trained and assessed to build, deploy, and operate production AI systems.
