With Aerovy, OEMs: - Launch an AI ecosystem for their hardware: branded apps a manufacturer puts in front of its own customers, from the app that comes with the machine to connected services and subscription tiers - Elevate aftermarket service: the machine reports a fault, it's diagnosed, the right technician is dispatched with the right part, and the job is closed out and reported. First-time fix rates go up; time to acknowledgement and time to response come down - Cut warranty cost and service spend: predictive failure detection, automated triage, and AI-driven root-cause across their install base We're a fast-paced startup building the digital infrastructure for the next generation of intelligent hardware. Founded in 2023 as a spinoff of research from Purdue University, we've grown from 5 full-time workers at the end of 2025 to 13 today, with ARR up 4x+ over the same period. We're backed by institutional VCs from Mudita Venture Partners, M25, Quorum Capital Partners, Knoll Ventures, and Purdue Ventures, and angels from Google, Tesla, Intel, Siemens +more. Job Summary As a Software Engineer at Aerovy, you’ll help architect and deliver core components of our cloud platform, serving real-time applications across energy, IoT, telematics, and AI. You'll work on a modular extensible system that powers everything from EV fleets and battery platforms to industrial equipment and robotics. This is a hands-on, full-stack opportunity where you'll own features end-to-end, from concept to launch, and work closely with a nimble, high-caliber team. If you're excited about building high performance production systems, solving hard problems at scale, and shipping real value in a fast-moving environment, we’d love to talk. ## Responsibilities - You will be expected to function independently and proactively with support from your team. - You will be routinely given requirements and be accountable to drive delivery end-to-end. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical features and services. - Own the reliability, scalability, maintainability, and performance of critical production systems. The platform includes three layers: - **Observe**: Analyze patterns, predict outcomes, and determine appropriate actions across connected systems. - **Reason**: Detect signals, diagnose faults, enrich with enterprise context, and trigger automated workflows. - **Act**: Execute service, warranty, parts, inventory, and dispatch operations end-to-end. - **Warranty Module**: Automated claims, root-cause documentation, and dispute reduction to end warranty leakage. - **Parts & Inventory Module**: Predictive inventory management that follows fleet behavior. - **Aftermarket & Service Module**: Predictive demand, automated dispatch, and dealer enablement. - **R&D Module**: Real fleet behavior data to inform product development cycles. - **White-Label Solution**: OEMs can brand the platform as their own, delivering a consistent software experience to their customers. ## Market Standing - **Valuation**: Not disclosed - **Key Metric**: Total funding of $940,000 (Pre-Seed rounds led by M25, Purdue Foundry, and Purdue Innovates Incubator) - **Notable Investors/Partners**: M25 (lead investor), Purdue Foundry, Purdue Innovates Incubator, accepted into Plug and Play accelerator in Seattle - **Growth Signals**: - Revenue grew from $227,000 (2024) to projected $1.1 million (2025) - Headcount of 7 employees with +42.9% monthly growth rate - Achieved SOC 2 Type I, SOC 2 Type II, and ISO 27001 compliance (Feb 2026) - LinkedIn followers: 671 (+9.6% monthly) - Featured in Indianapolis Business Journal "Startups to Watch" 2025 ## Competitive Advantages - **Purpose-built for OEMs**: Designed specifically for hardware companies that need to ship companion software — avoids the 18–36 month, multi-million dollar in-house build cycles typical in the industry. - **AI-native architecture**: Built from the ground up with AI agents, not bolted on later. - **Unified data fabric**: Connects machine telemetry with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, dealer networks) that are typically siloed. - **Proven IP**: Technology based on research by founder Nick Gunady at Purdue University, with a licensed patent. - **Security-first**: SOC 2 Type I, Type II, and ISO 27001 certified. - **White-label capability**: OEMs can brand the platform as their own, preserving their customer relationship. ## Strategic Focus - **Expansion beyond advanced air mobility**: Originally focused on electric aircraft energy management, the company has pivoted to serve any hardware OEM needing companion software. - **Accelerator growth**: Leveraging the Plug and Play accelerator in Seattle to scale. - **Revenue acceleration**: Targeting 384% revenue growth from 2024 to 2025. - **OEM adoption**: Building partnerships with leading OEMs across industrial and mobility sectors. - **Talent acquisition**: Actively hiring for backend and platform engineering roles. ## Why Work Here - **Early-stage impact**: Join a team of 7 where your work directly shapes the product and company direction. - **Cutting-edge tech stack**: Work on AI-native platform architecture, IoT data pipelines, and enterprise integrations. - **High-growth trajectory**: Revenue doubling year-over-year with strong investor backing. - **Flexible culture**: Remote-friendly with headquarters in West Lafayette, Indiana (Purdue University ecosystem). - **Meaningful mission**: Help hardware companies compete in a software-driven world — turning machines into service businesses. - **Open roles**: Currently hiring Platform Engineer and Lead Software Engineer (Backend) [jobs.ashbyhq.com/aerovy](https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/aerovy). - **Notable perks**: Early-stage equity potential, direct access to leadership, and opportunity to work with leading OEMs. ## Sources 1.
