## Job description

Deine Mission & Herausforderungen BU-Hands entwickelt die Roboterhände für unseren Humanoiden 4NE-1 und unsere kognitiven Roboter und liefert sie an interne Roboterteams und externe Kunden. Während unsere Hände vom Prototyp in die Serienproduktion gehen, übernimmst du die Firmware-, SDK- und Kommunikationsprobleme, die der 1st Level Service nicht lösen kann. Du reproduzierst das Problem, findest die Ursache und behebst es entweder selbst oder übergibst es mit einem klaren Reproducer an unsere Entwickler. Dein Ziel: Dasselbe Problem landet nie zweimal bei dir.

- Eskalationsverantwortung: Du verantwortest Tickets, die vom 1st Level Service, RMA- und Field-Teams eskaliert werden. Du priorisierst sie, reproduzierst sie an einer Testhand und schließt sie ab oder leitest sie an die Entwicklung weiter.
- Embedded-Troubleshooting: Du debuggst Firmware auf ARM-Cortex-M-MCUs mit JTAG/SWD, wertest Crash Dumps, Fault-Register und RTOS-Traces aus und prüfst Motorsteuerung, Sensorauslesung, Boot- und Firmware-Update-Verhalten.
- SDK- & Integrationssupport: Du unterstützt interne Roboterteams und Kunden bei der Integration unserer Hände über unser SDK, inklusive Review ihres Codes und ihrer Konfiguration.
- Kommunikationsanalyse: Du analysierst den Datenverkehr zwischen Hand und Roboter, um Verkabelungs-, Timing- und Protokollfehler voneinander abzugrenzen.
- Fehlerzuordnung: Gemeinsam mit Test Engineering und der RMA-Bench entscheidest du, ob ein Fehler elektrisch, mechanisch oder softwareseitig ist, und leitest ihn an die richtige Stelle weiter.
- Fixes: Du schreibst kleinere Firmware- und SDK-Fixes mit Tests und Code Review und verifizierst sie im Feld.
- Diagnose-Tools: Du baust Tools und Skripte für Log-Erfassung, Health Checks und Firmware-Flashing, die der 1st Level ohne dich nutzen kann.
- Wissens- & Feedbackschleife: Du machst aus jedem gelösten Problem einen Known-Issue-Eintrag, einen Troubleshooting-Guide oder eine Release Note und meldest wiederkehrende Fehler mit belastbaren Zahlen an das Produktmanagement.
- Vor-Ort-Einsätze: Du reist zu Kunden und NEURA-Standorten, wenn eine Remote-Session das Problem nicht lösen kann.

Was du mitbringst

- Ausbildung: Ein Studium der Informatik, Elektrotechnik, Mechatronik oder eines vergleichbaren Fachs.
- Firmware-Erfahrung: Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung in der Entwicklung oder im Support von C/C++-Firmware auf ARM Cortex-M oder vergleichbaren MCUs, inklusive RTOS-basierter Systeme.
- Strukturiertes Troubleshooting: Du kannst uns anhand von Hypothese, Test und Nachweis zeigen, wie du eine Ursache gefunden hast, die andere übersehen haben.
- Messtechnik: Praktische Erfahrung mit JTAG/SWD-Debuggern, Oszilloskopen, Logikanalysatoren und Wireshark; du liest Schaltpläne gut genug, um an einer Platine zu messen.
- Entwicklersupport: Erfahrung im Support von Entwicklern, die deine Libraries oder APIs nutzen: ihr Setup nachstellen, ihren Code lesen und den Fix erklären.
- Tooling: Sicher auf der Linux-Kommandozeile, mit Python für Test- und Log-Analyse-Skripte sowie mit Git.
- Protokolle: Fundierte Kenntnisse in mindestens einem Feldbus- oder Echtzeitprotokoll, z. B. EtherCAT, CAN/CAN-FD oder Ethernet-basierte Protokolle.
- Kommunikation: Klare schriftliche Berichte und ein ruhiges Auftreten in Calls mit frustrierten Anwendern.
- Sprachen: Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse; Deutsch ist ein Plus.

Nice to have:

- ROS 2: Erfahrung mit ROS 2 und der roboterseitigen Integration von Greifern oder Händen.
- Industrial Ethernet & Embedded Linux: Erfahrung mit Industrial-Ethernet-Stacks oder Embedded Linux.
- Motorsteuerung: Verständnis von BLDC-Motorsteuerung und Sensordatenpfaden, um einen Regelungsfehler von einem Hardwaredefekt zu unterscheiden.
