Maybern is founded by top engineering experts with deep knowledge of the fund management space. Private funds manage $15T in capital and are growing at 20% YoY, but with increasing regulatory scrutiny and investor demands for transparency, the need for more modern, fully agentic solutions to help private fund CFOs is crucial. This is where Maybern comes in. We are equipping fund managers with a fully agentic operating system for private fund management, enabling private investment managers to focus on what they do best: driving returns for their investors. We are backed by leading venture capital firms and a large number of strategic investors. Maybern is an NYC based company with a strong in-office culture to drive collaboration, and we are looking to make strong additions to our team. ## WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We are looking for a Solutions Architect to bridge the gap between the business needs of potential clients in the private markets industry, and the technical capabilities of Maybern’s software. This role sits at the intersection of fund/finance expertise and implementation work -- you'll use your knowledge of private markets operations to translate client requirements into configured, working solutions. You'll be part of a collaborative Solutions Architecture team, working closely with senior Solutions Architects and cross-functional partners as you grow into increasingly complex client scenarios. ## WHAT YOU'LL DO - Support Client Implementations: Own onboarding and configuration work for a book of clients, with a focus on straightforward implementations and well-defined use cases. Partner with senior Solutions Architects on more complex or ambiguous cases. - Translate Business Requirements: Conduct discovery with clients to understand their fund structures, workflows, and operational needs. Map those requirements to how Maybern's platform can be configured to meet them. - Escalate and Collaborate: Bring harder edge cases to the team. Participate in collaborative problem-solving with teammates across Solutions Architecture, Product, and Engineering. - Contribute to Enablement: Help develop internal resources on technical topics, including walkthroughs, models, and presentations that support the broader team. - Partner with Product: Surface patterns from client work to inform product feedback and feature gap documentation. ## WHO YOU ARE - Fund/Finance Fluent: You have a solid foundation in fund accounting or private equity operations and can engage credibly with clients on their workflows and data models. - Client-Facing and Clear: You communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, and you're comfortable running client calls with guidance. - Structured Problem Solver: You approach ambiguous situations methodically -- mapping out processes, identifying gaps, and working through solutions systematically. - Collaborative by Default: You thrive in a team-based environment and are comfortable asking questions, sharing context, and building on others' work. - Growth-Oriented: You're eager to take on more complexity over time and actively seek feedback to improve. THIS COULD BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU… - Have 6+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or implementation at a private markets software company or fund services firm. - Have an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance; CPA is a plus. - Are comfortable in Microsoft Excel and have exposure to fund accounting systems (Yardi, Investran, or similar). - Have experience with complex investment structures and financial statements. - Are curious about how AI tools can accelerate analysis and workflow -- and are already experimenting with them. ## BENEFITS - We offer a competitive salary + equity package, comprehensive benefits, and a flexible family-friendly work environment. Some of our perks include: - Comprehensive healthcare benefits - Maybern covers 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums - HSA & FSA plans - Family-Friendly policies - Paid parental leave - Flexible schedule - Flexible PTO / sick leave - WFH as needed to fit your needs - 401k ## About Maybern ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Maybern builds an AI-powered operating system for private fund management, unifying financial and operational data for CFOs and their teams. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series B, $76M total funding) - **Headquarters**: New York, NY, USA - **Founded**: 2022 - **Founders**: Ross Mechanic (CEO) and Ashwin Raghu (CTO) ## Core Business - **Primary industry/industries**: Financial Technology (FinTech), specifically private fund management and fund administration software - **Target customers**: B2B – General Partners (GPs), CFOs, and finance teams at private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds (ranging from $2B to $250B+ AUM) - **Mission or purpose statement**: To build category-defining software that transforms CFOs and their teams into strategic business leaders by unifying financial and operational data on a single AI-powered platform. ## Products & Services - **Maybern Platform (The Operating System for Agentic Fund Management)**: A SaaS platform that serves as the "intelligence layer" for private funds.
