Not improving it - replacing it. We’re building a new agentic stack called PQA - Prompt, Quote, Approve, designed for the enterprise, on a data model built for how pricing actually works today. We’re Kleiner Perkins’ first incubation since Glean, led by second-time founders with successful exits, and a team of engineers from Snowflake, Databricks, Citadel, Meta, Robinhood, Brex, and so on. We’re in-person in San Francisco, and we’re just getting started. ## WHAT YOU’LL DO - Own the full technical relationship on strategic deals, from initial demo through post-close implementation, serving as the customer’s trusted advisor and primary technical point of contact. - Design and deliver tailored demos and POCs that showcase how Roadrunner’s PQA stack fits into a customer’s existing CRM, ERP, and broader enterprise architecture. - Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities, build technical credibility with IT and business stakeholders, and remove technical blockers early in the sales cycle. - Lead post-sale technical onboarding: gather requirements, architect integration solutions, and work hands-on with implementation engineers to bring customers live and scale. - Translate real-world customer needs into actionable product insights for Engineering and Product teams. - Build reusable assets, including playbooks, technical guides, demo environments, and integration patterns, to elevate the broader go-to-market team. ## EXAMPLE PROJECTS - Lead a POC with a mid-market manufacturing company to demonstrate how Roadrunner’s PQA layer integrates with Salesforce and NetSuite, including live pricing rules, approval workflows, and order synchronization - from kickoff to a working demo in two weeks. - Own the technical workstream for a global SaaS customer’s implementation: map their existing quoting process, design the data model migration from legacy CPQ, and coordinate API integration with their internal engineering team. - Build a demo environment showcasing Roadrunner’s agentic quoting capabilities for a new vertical, complete with pricing data and a guided walkthrough, then package it into a reusable playbook for the broader Solutions Architect team. ## WHAT YOU’LL BRING - Experience in solutions engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting, with a track record of owning complex enterprise deals or implementations end-to-end. - Confidence engaging both technical teams and executive stakeholders. - Hands-on familiarity with CPQ and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP CPQ, HubSpot), along with a strong understanding of enterprise quoting, pricing, and approval workflows. - Working knowledge of ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent) and how they integrate with the broader revenue stack, including order management, billing, and revenue recognition. - Ability to design and explain API-based integrations between enterprise systems; comfortable reading API documentation, writing lightweight scripts, and troubleshooting data flows. - Strong communication skills - able to translate complex technical architectures into clear, compelling narratives for business audiences and vice versa. - Willingness to spend time in San Francisco during onboarding and travel as needed. ## BONUS POINTS IF… - You’ve directly sold or implemented CPQ solutions and understand the pain points firsthand. - You’re comfortable with SQL or data modeling and can work with pricing and related data schemas independently. - You’ve worked at an early-stage company and understand what full ownership of end-to-end solution design looks like. ## WHAT WE OFFER - Medical, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family. - Lunch and dinner, as well as snacks and coffee to keep you energized. - Take what you need vacation policy. ## EQUAL OPPORTUNITY We value our differences, and we encourage all to apply — especially those whose identities are traditionally underrepresented in tech organizations. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status, political belief, or any other characteristic protected by law. Roadrunner is an equal opportunity employer. ## About Roadrunner ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Roadrunner is an AI-native revenue infrastructure company replacing legacy Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) systems with an agentic PQA (Prompt, Quote, Approve) platform built from the ground up. - **Entity Type**: Private (Series A) - **Headquarters**: San Francisco, California, USA - **Founded**: 2025 - **Founders**: Joubin Mirzadegan (CEO), Ajay Natarajan (CPO), Eugene Shao (CTO) ## Core Business - **Primary industry**: Revenue infrastructure / Sales technology (Quote-to-Cash, CPQ replacement) - **Target customers**: Enterprise B2B sales organizations (deal desk, finance, legal, sales operations) - **Mission**: Rebuild quote-to-cash from the ground up so that every rep can structure any deal instantly, as if they were the best rep in the company. ## Products & Services - **PQA Platform (Prompt, Quote, Approve)**: An agentic stack that uses natural language interfaces to generate quotes, enforce pricing policies, automate approval routing, and manage renewals, amendments, and product bundles. Includes a conversational AI agent that knows a company’s products, policies, and deal history. Features sub-second calculation, data-driven quote scoring against historical closed-won metrics, and an admin agent that drafts config changes and auto-generates UAT scenarios. ## Market Standing - **Valuation**: Not publicly disclosed - **Key Metric**: Total funding raised – $27M (Seed led by Kleiner Perkins, Series A led by Founders Fund) as of May 2026 - **Notable Investors/Partners**: Kleiner Perkins (Mamoon Hamid), Founders Fund (Trae Stephens). Incubated at Kleiner Perkins (the firm’s first incubation since Glean). - **Growth Signals**: General availability launched May 2026; 22 employees as of May 31, 2026; actively hiring across engineering, solutions architecture, and sales roles; positioned as a category creator (PQA) in a large, legacy-dominated market. ## Competitive Advantages - **AI-native architecture**: Built from scratch with a modular data model designed for modern pricing motions (consumption, AI-based outcomes, bundles) – not a patch on legacy CPQ. - **Natural language interface**: Reps interact via a conversational agent rather than learning a complex UI; admins make changes by describing them in plain language. - **Forward-deployed migration**: Roadrunner’s engineers sit with customers to model catalogs, rebuild configuration rules, and cut over from existing CPQ – owning the outcome without requiring a system integrator. - **Speed**: Sub-second calculations even across complex pricing tiers, ramps, and approval thresholds. ## Strategic Focus - **Scale the team**: Use the $27M funding to grow headcount across engineering, solutions, and go-to-market. - **Deepen enterprise partnerships**: Work closely with early customers to refine the platform. - **Expand to full quote-to-cash**: Build toward a complete stack covering pricing, quoting, approvals, billing, and beyond. ## Why Work Here - **Culture highlights**: Described as a “world-class team” by investors; co-founders have deep domain experience (Joubin built sales orgs at Kleiner Perkins, Ajay founded Athena which was acquired in 2025, Eugene built high-throughput systems at Meta, Citadel, and NASA). - **Work environment**: Likely office-first in San Francisco (headquarters); early-stage startup with high ownership and direct customer impact. - **Notable perks**: Opportunity to define a new category (PQA) and rebuild critical enterprise infrastructure; forward-deployed engineers get to work on-site with customers on high-stakes migrations; strong backing from top-tier VCs. ## Sources 1.
