Independent retailers around the globe collectively represent a multi-hundred-billion-dollar wholesale market that has historically been fragmented and offline. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. Picture your favorite boutique in town — we help them discover the best products from around the world to sell in their stores. With the right tools and insights, we believe that we can level the playing field so businesses can grow and local communities can thrive. We’re looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us as we power the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours. ## About this role Faire's Procurement & Sourcing function launched in January 2026. In its first nine months, the team has redesigned core purchasing workflows, published new procurement and contracts policies, and delivered more than $2M in demonstrable sourcing savings, carried by a single dedicated hire, our Procurement & Sourcing Leader, who has split time between running sourcing engagements directly and building the operational and systems foundation of the function. This role adds dedicated sourcing execution capacity to the team and reports directly to the Global Procurement & Sourcing Leader. You will spend nearly all of your time running sourcing engagements — negotiating new commitments and renewals, running competitive processes, and driving measurable savings — freeing our Procurement & Sourcing Leader to spend more time on procurement strategy, policy, and systems design. You'll partner closely with the Procurement & Sourcing Leader on SaaS/Software sourcing, Faire's largest and highest-priority category, while taking primary ownership of sourcing for Marketing and Professional Services, and maintaining the range to flex into other categories as priorities shift. ## What you'll do - Sourcing execution: own sourcing engagements end-to-end for assigned categories, identify opportunities, structure and run RFPs and competitive processes, negotiate commercial terms, and close new and renewal contracts. - SaaS & Software: partner with the Procurement & Sourcing Leader on sourcing for SaaS and Software, Faire's highest-spend category, supporting negotiations for enterprise software and infrastructure commitments. - Marketing & Professional Services: serve as the primary sourcing owner for these categories — build relationships with business stakeholders, understand upcoming needs ahead of time, and proactively bring sourcing opportunities forward rather than waiting for requests. - Category intelligence: build and maintain sourcing playbooks and market/cost benchmarking to negotiate from a position of strength, and contribute to Faire's growing preferred vendor list. - Reporting & tracking: track and report savings and cost avoidance through the Procurement Savings Dashboard, and manage deal memos for material commitments. - Cross-functional execution: support business stakeholders through vendor evaluation and contract redlines (partnering with Legal), and manage approvals in Zip and Ironclad. - Flexibility: flex into additional categories as needed to support the team's coverage of Faire's addressable spend base. ## Qualifications - 4-7 years of experience in sourcing, category management, or procurement, ideally spanning both SaaS/Software and one or more of Marketing or Professional Services categories - Demonstrated track record negotiating contracts and running competitive sourcing processes (RFPs) that deliver measurable savings - Hands-on familiarity with procure-to-pay and contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., Zip, Coupa, Ironclad, DocuSign) - Strong analytical & operational skills; comfortable building cost benchmarks and business cases to support negotiation strategy - Ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders across multiple categories at once - Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-paced, still-forming function — able to bring structure to a negotiation without waiting for it to be handed to you Salary Range San Francisco : the pay range for this role is $132,000 to $181,500 per year. This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Hybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting. ## Why you’ll love working at Faire - Move fast: You'll own meaningful problems that serve customers around the globe with the agency to move fast and see your results clearly. - Equipped to scale: We invest in what matters, including the latest enterprise AI tools, to help you work smarter and get more out of every day. - Best in class: Our team is full of sharp, kind, and generous colleagues who care about their craft and about helping you grow in yours. - Real rewards.
