The Sr. Electronic Technician will support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex electronic systems, instrumentation, and controls used across our laboratories and field operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional with strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and experience working with complex electronic assemblies, instrumentation, and communication systems. Essential functions (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.) - Assemble, wire, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic systems, control panels, instrumentation, and laboratory equipment in accordance with engineering drawings and schematics. - Read and interpret electronic, electrical, instrumentation, wiring, and mechanical drawings to support fabrication, testing, and system integration. - Fabricate, terminate, install, and troubleshoot instrumentation and communication cabling used throughout laboratory and field systems. - Utilize electronic test equipment, calibration instruments, and hand tools to diagnose, repair, validate, and optimize system performance. - Test electronic and electrical circuits for continuity, voltage, signal integrity, functionality, and overall system performance. - Assemble, install, and maintain instrumentation used to measure pressure, temperature, flow, level, and other operational parameters. - Conduct quality inspections of fabricated components, assemblies, and wiring to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. - Support documentation efforts by accurately recording testing activities, modifications, repairs, calibration results, and fabrication processes. - Collaborate effectively with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot issues, improve designs, and support commissioning activities. - Assist with light mechanical assembly, fabrication, hose connections, and equipment installation during periods of reduced electronic workload. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following established laboratory and field safety procedures. - Perform other related duties as assigned.
