Responsabilidades

1. Investigación de proveedores e inteligencia de mercado Realizar investigación de mercado para identificar proveedores potenciales a través de búsquedas en línea como Google y Alibaba, exposiciones de la industria, datos aduanales y directorios comerciales. Compilar y mantener una base de datos estructurada de proveedores con información clave, como capacidades, certificaciones, ubicación, entre otros datos relevantes. Mantenerse actualizado sobre tendencias de la industria y proveedores emergentes en CNC, lámina metálica, moldeo por inyección, fundición a presión, forja y otros procesos de manufactura.
2. Apoyo en la pre-calificación de proveedores Recopilar y documentar información básica de proveedores, incluyendo capacidad de producción, equipo y certificaciones. Apoyar en la preparación de listas de proveedores potenciales para evaluación posterior por parte del equipo de sourcing. Apoyar al equipo en la organización de contacto con proveedores y comunicaciones iniciales.
3. Gestión de datos y reportes Mantener registros precisos de los hallazgos de investigación de proveedores en los sistemas internos de Fictiv. Preparar reportes de investigación de proveedores o de la industria para revisión del equipo. Ayudar a dar seguimiento a métricas de desempeño de proveedores, como tiempos de entrega, capacidad de respuesta, entre otras.
4. Colaboración con equipos internos Trabajar de cerca con el equipo de Sourcing para priorizar necesidades de investigación. Asistir a exposiciones de la industria, cuando sea necesario, para recopilar información sobre proveedores y tendencias del mercado. Brindar apoyo administrativo en el proceso de onboarding de proveedores, incluyendo coordinación de NDA/MSA, entre otros.

Requisitos

Licenciatura en Administración de Cadena de Suministro, Negocios, Ingeniería o un campo relacionado. La licenciatura es requerida. 3 a 6 años de experiencia en un entorno de cadena de suministro de manufactura o desarrollo de proveedores. Perfil autodidacta y motivado, con interés en desarrollar experiencia en sourcing y manufactura. Alto nivel de atención al detalle y fuertes habilidades organizacionales para gestionar datos de proveedores con precisión. Orientación a la investigación, con comodidad para analizar datos de mercado y encontrar a los mejores proveedores. Mentalidad colaborativa y capacidad para trabajar bien con el equipo de sourcing para apoyar objetivos estratégicos. Curiosidad técnica básica y disposición para aprender sobre CNC, fundición a presión y otros procesos. Experiencia en al menos 1 a 2 áreas de manufactura.

Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Location: Monterrey area, Nuevo León Travel: 0–10%, mostly within Monterrey

You will research, identify, and document potential manufacturing partners (CNC machining, Sheet metal, Injection molding, die casting, forging, etc.) to help Fictiv’s sourcing team make data-driven decisions. Your work will directly contribute to expanding our supplier pool, improving cost efficiency, and ensuring a reliable supply chain for our customers.

- Supplier Research & Market Intelligence Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers through online searches (Google, Alibaba), industry exhibitions, customs data, and trade directories. Compile and maintain a structured supplier database with key details (capabilities, certifications, location, etc.). Stay updated on industry trends and emerging suppliers in CNC, Sheet metal, Injection Molding, die casting, forging, and other manufacturing processes.

- Supplier Pre-Qualification Support Collect and document basic supplier information (production capacity, equipment, certifications). Assist in preparing potential supplier lists for further evaluation by the sourcing team. Support the team in organizing supplier outreach and initial communications.

- Data Management & Reporting Maintain accurate records of supplier research findings in Fictiv’s internal systems. Prepare supplier or industry research reports for team review. Help track supplier performance metrics (lead time, responsiveness, etc.).

- Cross-Team Collaboration Work closely with Sourcing to prioritize research needs. Attend industry exhibitions (as needed) to gather supplier insights and market trends. Provide administrative support in supplier onboarding (NDA/MSA coordination, etc.).

Requirements for the role: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field - degree is required. 3 - 6 years of experience in a manufacturing supply chain/supplier development environment. Self-Motivated Learner – Eager to develop expertise in sourcing and manufacturing. Detail-Oriented – Strong organizational skills to manage supplier data accurately. Research-Driven – Comfortable digging into market data to find the best suppliers. Collaborative Mindset – Works well with the sourcing team to support strategic goals.
