Are you ready to take on unprecedented challenges and contribute to revolutionising technology? Join us, and let's shape the future of quantum computing together! Purpose of the role In a context of growing public-sector investment in quantum technologies, the Technical Business Development Intern supports the establishment of impactful technical programs for Alice & Bob in the United States. Reporting to the Quantum Technology Lead, Public Sector, you will work closely with the North America team to develop market insight, build strategic relationships, and contribute to proposals and government programs, while learning technical business development under the guidance of an experienced practitioner. This internship will start betweenJanuaryandMarch 2027! Responsibilities: 1. Conduct market research to identify opportunities for technical programs - Research the U.S. quantum computing landscape, including funding sources, program announcements, and competitors - Summarize findings for the Quantum Technology Lead to inform program strategy 1. Support strategic relationship development with public-sector and technical stakeholders - Prepare briefing materials and background research ahead of stakeholder engagements - Help maintain contact records and follow up on engagement activities 1. Edit white papers and full proposals - Review and refine technical content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency - Coordinate input from technical contributors and track proposal deadlines and requirements 1. Assist in managing government programs - Track program milestones, deliverables, and reporting requirements - Support communication with government program stakeholders under the guidance of the manager Requirements: A motivated graduate student with an interest in establishing impactful technical programs and in the intersection of science, technology and policy. You combine a quantitative background with strong writing skills and a collaborative approach to work. - EDUCATION: Undergraduate degree in physical science, economics or mathematics; currently enrolled in a graduate degree program (including public policy) - EXPERIENCE: No prior professional experience required; internship or project experience in research, writing or business development is a plus - Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize technical and market information - Excellent written communication and attention to detail, especially for editing technical documents - Ability to understand technical concepts in quantum computing and communicate them to non-specialist audiences - Organizational skills to track multiple deadlines, deliverables and requirements - Interpersonal skills to build professional relationships with a range of stakeholders - Curiosity and willingness to learn from an experienced mentor Research shows that women might feel hesitant to apply for this job if they don't match 100% of the job requirements listed.
