Trail Appliances is the leading independent appliance retailer in Western Canada. We’re a fast-growing company with over 500 employees in British Columbia, spread out over 10 showrooms, 3 Outlet Centres, 3 distribution centres, and 4 offices in BC's major markets. Join our team of trailblazers! Our core values: Integrity – We do what’s right, even when no one is looking. Improvement – We do it well. Then we do it better. Caring – We put ourselves in others’ shoes. Authenticity – We like people, not pretense. Determination – We kick down walls. At Trail Appliances, we're not just selling appliances. We're helping customers create homes they love, and we're constantly looking for better ways to serve them. As a family-owned Canadian company, we believe great ideas can come from anywhere, and we're committed to giving our teams the tools, technology, and support they need to do their best work. We're looking for a Technical Product Owner - AI & Power Platform to help shape how AI, automation, and low-code technologies create value across our business. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the direction of Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, AI agents, and workflow automation while working closely with teams across Sales, Operations, Customer Experience, HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT. If you're energized by solving business problems, curious about emerging technology, and equally comfortable discussing strategy with executives or rolling up your sleeves to build a prototype, we'd love to hear from you. ## What You'll Do As our Technical Product Owner, you'll own the roadmap, governance, adoption, and ongoing evolution of our AI and low-code platforms. You'll work across the business to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, and deliver solutions that improve the way we work. You will: Own and maintain the roadmap and backlog for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and related innovation initiatives. Partner with leaders and frontline teams to identify opportunities where AI and automation can improve customer experience, employee experience, productivity, and business outcomes. Evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on business value, feasibility, adoption potential, cost, risk, and strategic alignment. Translate business needs into user stories, process designs, technical requirements, governance controls, and measurable success metrics. Configure, prototype, test, troubleshoot, and help deliver AI and Power Platform solutions while coordinating with developers, architects, and other technical specialists when needed. Lead discovery workshops, demonstrations, pilots, user acceptance testing, training, and solution adoption activities. Manage platform administration, licensing, capacity, environments, security, connectors, and lifecycle management in partnership with IT, Security, Privacy, and Architecture teams. Monitor usage, adoption, platform health, costs, and realized business value to continuously improve our investment decisions. Help establish practical governance that enables innovation while protecting our people, customers, data, and business. ## What You Bring We're looking for someone who combines strong product thinking with hands-on technical capability and a passion for helping people embrace new ways of working. Required Experience Five or more years of experience in product ownership, product management, business analysis, automation, enterprise applications, digital transformation, or solution delivery roles. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, platform administration, governance, and application lifecycle management. Experience working with generative AI, copilots, or AI agents, including use-case assessment, prototyping, testing, governance, security, privacy, and responsible AI considerations. Experience managing licensing, consumption, capacity, utilization, forecasting, and technology-related costs. Ability to configure and troubleshoot low-code and AI solutions while understanding when to engage deeper technical expertise. Experience developing roadmaps and managing competing priorities across technically complex initiatives. Strong business analysis, discovery, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of enterprise governance practices related to security, data access, identity, environments, supportability, and change management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical, operational, and executive audiences. ## Nice to Have Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio. Experience deploying AI or agent-based solutions that have delivered measurable business value. Experience establishing AI or Power Platform governance programs. Experience with Azure AI Services, AI Builder, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Pages, Dynamics 365, Azure DevOps, APIs, integrations, or enterprise data platforms. Microsoft certifications in Power Platform, Azure AI, Business Applications, or related technologies. Why Join Trail?
