As BPP moves into a new line-driven facility, you'll teach standard work and takt expectations at every assembly and wiring station. You'll also serve as the final quality and safety checkpoint before operators begin production work. ## Key Responsibilities - Lead classroom and hands-on training for new and current operators in mechanical assembly and electrical wiring. - Teach with a proven three-step method: explain the task, demonstrate it, then observe and coach the operator performing it. - Build operator skills in a safe training area before production exposure, and reinforce PPE, LOTO, and electrical safety in every session. - Give specific, real-time feedback and adjust pacing to each learner. - Conduct and document competency evaluations at 30, 60, and 90 days using consistent criteria. - Release operators for unsupervised work once they demonstrate competency, and set re-evaluation plans when standards are not yet met. - Maintain accurate, audit-ready training records, including attendance, observations, competency results, and release decisions. - Create job aids, quick reference guides, and other training content using available AI and instructional design tools. - Identify gaps, errors, or safety concerns in training content and Work Instructions, and route them to Engineering and Quality for revision. - Learn new and revised content from subject matter experts and Engineering before teaching it. - Support operator skill progression and cross-training between assembly and wiring stations. - Help develop standard work and training for new line stations and product launches. Required Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent. - 5–7 years of hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical assembly of switchboards, switchgear, control panels, or similar equipment. - Demonstrated ability to perform and teach assembly and wiring work, including enclosure and structure assembly, bus bar installation, device mounting, torque application, wire cutting, crimping and termination, harness build, wire routing, continuity testing, and final QC handoff. - Ability to read mechanical drawings, eDrawings, wiring diagrams, multi-circuit schematics, and BOMs. - Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, and NEC safety requirements. - Proficiency with hand, power, torque, crimping, and measurement tools, including multimeters. ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience as a lead or formal trainer in an electrical manufacturing environment. - Switchboard or switchgear build experience. - OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification. - Familiarity with Lean, standard work, or Training Within Industry (TWI). - Overhead crane and rigging awareness. Physical Requirements - Ability to perform and demonstrate hands-on mechanical assembly and electrical wiring tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation. - Ability to safely use hand, power, torque, crimping, and measurement tools. - Ability to work in a manufacturing and training floor environment and wear required PPE. - Ability to follow LOTO and electrical safety procedures. Core Competencies - Mechanical Assembly and Print Reading - Bus Installation and Torque Discipline - Wiring, Termination, and Testing - Safety and Standard Work - Coaching and Real-Time Feedback - Patience and Adaptability - Holding the Standard - Clear Communication and Documentation - Continuous Improvement - Cross-Functional Collaboration ## About Butcher Power Products ## Company Overview - **One-liner**: Butcher Power Products designs and manufactures utility-grade low and medium voltage switchboards, switchgear, and power distribution equipment for mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, and industrial facilities. - **Entity Type**: Private (Bootstrapped) - **Headquarters**: Sacramento, California, United States - **Founded**: 2023 - **Founders**: Not publicly disclosed ## Core Business - **Primary Industry**: Electrical Equipment Manufacturing / Power Distribution - **Target Customers**: B2B – national developers, hyperscale data center operators, electrical contractors, industrial facilities, and utility companies (EUSERC member states) - **Mission Statement**: To deliver mission-critical and industrial power solutions at scale – faster, better, and without compromise – by disrupting an industry known for long lead times and complacency. ## Products & Services - **Low Voltage Switchboards (RTG Series)**: Pre-engineered, quick-ship (as fast as two weeks) UL 891 switchboards, custom or configurable, 400A–5000A, up to 600V AC, with EUSERC utility approval. - **Medium Voltage Switchgear (5–38 kV)**: Load interrupter switches, load break switches, and fully integrated gear for mission-critical reliability, also EUSERC compliant. - **Remote Power Panels (RPP)**: Branch-level distribution for high-density data center environments with real-time monitoring and building management integration. - **Power Distribution Units (PDU)**: High-availability power distribution units combining switchgear functionality with intelligent monitoring. - **Static Transfer Switches (STS) – UL1008S**: Rapid-source switching for ultra-low transfer times and high fault withstand ratings. - **Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)**: For backup power continuity. - **Powder Coating & Job Shop Fabrication**: In-house services for custom metal fabrication and finishing. ## Market Standing - **Valuation/Market Cap**: Not publicly available (private, bootstrapped) - **Key Metric**: **48 employees** as of 2025 (+173.3% year-over-year headcount growth) - **Notable Investors/Partners**: No external investors identified; company is bootstrapped.
