Who We Are: Space Kinetic is a dual use space technology startup building a completely new architecture for space operations – one that brings the advantages of proliferated drone technology (low-cost, operationally flexible, attainable, distributed) to space missions while reducing the ecosystem's reliance on consumable fuel. In a world where many companies are focused on incrementally improving the status quo, we are focused on creating something entirely different – an architecture underpinned by new first principles to meet the opportunities and challenges of the third space age head-on. Our goal is to move away from one-to-one space architectures – where each satellite in a constellation has one (or a small # of) primary payloads attached to the bus -- and unlock a ‘one-to-many’ system, where each satellite has a large number of payloads which can be deployed from their host spacecraft at high velocities without firing a thruster. This is not a role for someone looking for a traditional 40-hour work week. Space Kinetic is building ambitious, first-of-its-kind technology, and that requires urgency, ownership, and a high level of commitment to changing the foundational assumptions for everything we do in space. What You’ll Do: We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to support receiving, shipping, inventory control, and material handling in a fast-paced aerospace environment. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining accurate records, organizing materials, and ensuring parts and supplies are available when our teams need them. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will help keep warehouse operations safe, efficient, and ready to support Space Kinetic’s engineering and manufacturing activities. Job Responsibilities: - Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying quantities and documentation against purchase orders. - Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues to the Supply Chain Manager. - Label, organize, and store parts and materials in designated locations to support accurate inventory tracking. - Pick and transport materials to fulfill internal requests and support engineering and manufacturing operations. - Pack, label, and document outgoing shipments accurately. - Process and document returns, updating inventory records and returning materials to the appropriate locations. - Record incoming and outgoing inventory transactions in warehouse management or ERP systems, such as Cetec or Oracle WMS. - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and in accordance with training and authorization. - Maintain clean, organized warehouse work areas and designated storage locations for flammable materials. - Participate in inventory counts and audits, helping identify and resolve discrepancies. What It Takes: - Associate’s degree in warehouse science. - 2–6 years of relevant warehouse experience. - Ability to check receiving and shipping documentation and maintain accurate inventory records. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong work ethic, ownership of assigned tasks, and a focus on achieving results. - Commitment to safe material handling and an orderly work environment. What We'd Love: - Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems. - Experience with receiving and forklift operation. - Familiarity with 5S workplace organization. - Understanding of Aerospace Material Specifications (AMS) or specialty metals. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. - All tools and safety equipment are provided by Space Kinetic. Where You’ll Be: - The position is onsite at our headquarters in El Segundo, CA. What We Offer: - Equity-Based Compensation - 401(k) retirement plan with a 3.5% company match - Highly Competitive PTO - Paid company holidays + winter break - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance - Unique Performance-based bonus opportunities ITAR Requirements: To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
