Privacy Policy
What we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Last updated: July 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Fully Indexed, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as Feeny ("Feeny," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the website at feeny.ai and its related products, features, and services (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
We aim to collect only what we need to run the Service well, to be honest about how it works, and to give you meaningful control over your information.
1. Definitions
- "Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to you, such as your name and email address.
- "Usage Data" means information generated automatically through your use of the Service, such as log and device information.
- "User Content" means content you create, upload, or provide, such as your profile, résumés, cover letters, custom feeds, and chat inputs.
- "Process" means any operation performed on information, such as collecting, storing, using, or disclosing it.
- "Cookies / Local Storage" means small data files and browser-storage entries used to operate the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and basic Google profile information (such as your profile picture and a stable account identifier). We use Google OAuth; we do not receive or store your Google password.
- Profile and career content. Information you add to your Feeny profile(s), résumés, cover letters, and the fields you choose to include or make public.
- User Content and preferences. Bookmarks, custom news and content feeds you add, and the inputs you provide to AI features (such as chat messages and job or company context).
- Communications. Information you provide when you contact us (for example, at ed@feeny.ai) or submit a request through the Service.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Log and device data. When you use the Service, we and our infrastructure providers may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type and user agent, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use this to operate the Service, maintain security, enforce rate limits, and prevent abuse.
- Session data. We use session tokens (stored in cookies) to keep you signed in. See Section 5.
2.3 Information from third parties
- Authentication provider. We receive the profile information described in Section 2.1 from Google when you sign in.
- Payment provider. When you make a purchase, our Merchant of Record (Polar.sh) provides us with limited transaction information, such as your subscription status and plan. See Sections 4 and 7.
2.4 Information we index from public and third-party sources
Feeny is a discovery engine. A large part of the Service consists of information about companies, jobs, news, content, and products that we gather from publicly available and third-party sources — including company career pages and applicant-tracking systems (such as Ashby, Greenhouse, and Lever), public RSS feeds, podcast and newsletter sources, product-launch listings, and data partners and public APIs. This indexed information is generally about organizations and public postings rather than about you, and it is presented for informational purposes as described in the Terms of Service.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, operate, personalize, and maintain the Service and its features;
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- Power AI-assisted features (see Section 6);
- Process purchases, manage subscriptions and credits, and provide receipts (via our Merchant of Record);
- Respond to your requests and send you service-related communications;
- Monitor, debug, secure, and improve the Service, and enforce rate limits and prevent abuse;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Legal bases (for EEA/UK users). Where required, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service); your consent (where we ask for it); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service); and compliance with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Information — Service Providers
We do not sell your Personal Information. We share information only with providers who help us operate the Service, under agreements that limit their use of it, or where required by law or to protect rights and safety. The core providers are:
| Provider | Purpose | Information shared |
|---|---|---|
| Google (OAuth) | Authentication / sign-in | Your Google OAuth profile: name, email, avatar, and account identifier |
| OpenRouter (and the AI model providers it routes to, including DeepSeek and z-ai/GLM) | AI inference for chat and document features; text embeddings | The inputs you submit to AI features and the content embedded for search (see Section 6) |
| Polar.sh | Payment processing / billing (may act as Merchant of Record) | Your email, subscription and plan details, and the payment information you provide to Polar |
| Cloudflare (edge network and R2 object storage) | Content delivery, edge/DDoS protection, and storage of images and assets | Requests routed through the network, and stored assets such as your profile avatar and generated images |
| Hetzner (with Coolify) | Application and database hosting | All data processed through the Service is hosted on this infrastructure |
Our application and database run on our own self-hosted PostgreSQL infrastructure (we do not use a managed third-party database provider). We may add, change, or replace providers as the Service evolves and will update this Policy accordingly. For example, if we begin sending transactional email or introduce a product-analytics tool, we will describe that provider here before doing so.
5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Tracking
5.1. Essential cookies and storage. We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate core features (for example, Better Auth session tokens). We also use your browser's local storage for certain preferences and per-user features (such as recently viewed items), namespaced to your account so one user's data is not exposed to another on a shared device.
5.2. Analytics. At present, Feeny does not load third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we keep any usage analytics off the transactional database that stores your account data. If we introduce a product-analytics or session-analytics tool in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required, obtain your consent before enabling non-essential tracking.
5.3. Do Not Track. Because there is no common industry standard for Do Not Track signals, the Service does not currently respond to them.
6. AI Processing
Several features use AI models to generate summaries, matches, drafts, and answers. When you use these features, the inputs you provide are transmitted to AI model providers through the OpenRouter gateway for processing and returned to you. Depending on the feature, those inputs may include:
- Your chat messages and questions to "Ask Feeny," together with relevant indexed context;
- Résumé and profile text you ask us to tailor, review, or draft from;
- Job or company context you select for a cover letter or a hiring post.
We aim to send only what is necessary to return your result. Feeny does not use your private User Content to train AI models. Once your inputs reach the AI model providers through OpenRouter, they are processed to fulfill your request and are handled according to OpenRouter's and the underlying model providers' own terms, privacy policies, and data-retention practices — which govern any logging, retention, or use of that data on their side. We encourage you to review those policies. As explained in the Terms of Service, AI Output may be inaccurate, and you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.
Search and personalization. To power grounded search and retrieval, some of your career content (such as your résumés and cover letters) is converted into numerical representations ("embeddings") and stored in our database, marked private to your account. Today, these private embeddings are used only to serve your own authenticated requests, and no part of your private User Content is included in any shared or public index.
We may in future make public profiles searchable to other users — for example, so that recruiters and hiring managers can discover candidates. If we build that, it would apply only to a profile you have chosen to make public (and the résumé you have chosen to power it), never to your private documents; we would describe it here and give you notice before it takes effect, and you would be able to keep your profile private. Content you keep private stays out of any shared or public index.
7. Payments
Purchases are handled by our third-party payment provider, Polar.sh, which may act as our Merchant of Record. Polar hosts the checkout and collects and processes your payment-card and billing details directly; Feeny does not receive or store your full card information. Polar's processing of your payment information is governed by Polar's own privacy policy, and Polar (or its processors) may retain transaction and tax records as required by law.
8. Data Retention
We retain Personal Information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:
- Account and User Content are retained until you delete them or delete your account.
- Session tokens expire automatically.
- Log data is retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes.
- Billing and tax records may be retained by our Merchant of Record as required by applicable law, independent of your account.
When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your associated Personal Information within a reasonable period, except for records we are required or permitted to keep.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit (TLS), authenticated and rate-limited access to our systems, tenant isolation so that one user's private data is not exposed to another, and restricted administrative access. Payment-card data is handled by our Merchant of Record, not by us. HOWEVER, NO METHOD OF TRANSMISSION OR STORAGE IS 100% SECURE, AND WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ABSOLUTE SECURITY.
10. Your Privacy Rights
We honor the privacy rights available to you under applicable law. To exercise any right, contact us at ed@feeny.ai. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10.1 EEA / UK (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to: access your Personal Information; correct inaccurate data; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority. We will respond within the timeframes required by law (generally within one month).
10.2 California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what Personal Information we collect and how we use and disclose it; request access to and deletion of your Personal Information; correct inaccurate Personal Information; and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of Personal Information. WE DO NOT SELL OR SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION as those terms are defined under California law. We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframe required by law (generally 45 days).
10.3 Other jurisdictions
Residents of other U.S. states and countries with applicable privacy laws may have similar rights. Contact us and we will honor rights available to you under the law that applies.
11. International Data Transfers
Feeny is operated from the United States, and our primary application and database infrastructure is hosted in Germany (Hetzner). Some of our service providers are located in the United States or other countries. As a result, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your own, whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where required for transfers of EEA/UK data, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at ed@feeny.ai and we will delete it.
13. Public Information You Choose to Share
If you make a profile public or publish content through the Service (see the Terms of Service), the information you choose to expose becomes viewable by others and may be indexed by search engines. Profiles are private by default, and we provide controls over what, if anything, is made public. Please consider carefully what you choose to publish.
14. Third-Party Links
The Service links to and displays content from third-party websites (such as company career pages and job applications). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and this Policy does not apply to them. Review their policies before providing information.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date and take reasonable steps to notify you, such as through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
