ARSIEM is looking for a motivated Analytic Developer to support the exciting Device Acquisition & Analytics mission. Developer will work closely with mission stakeholders to capture requirements and create innovative analytics and deploy solutions to customer supported tools to automate and enable data and metadata analysis. This position will support one of our government clients in Fort Meade, MD.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with analysts and mission stakeholders to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities to improve data discovery and analytic tradecraft.
- Gather and document user stories and use cases, facilitate technical discussions, and translate mission needs into innovative software solutions.
- Design and prototype applications that automate manual processes, streamline data workflows, improve information dissemination, and accelerate analyst productivity.
- Support the transition of successful prototypes into sustainable operational capabilities while helping modernize mission processes through advanced analytics and AI-enabled solutions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications using Python and Jupyter Notebooks to support advanced data analysis and mission automation.
- Develop reusable software components, APIs, and analytic tools that integrate with existing mission systems.
- Build scalable data processing workflows, automate repetitive analyst tasks, and develop capabilities that improve knowledge management and data exploitation.
- Work closely with analysts to rapidly iterate software prototypes, evaluate emerging technologies, including Generative AI, and deliver high-quality production solutions that solve real mission problems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 8-years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong software engineering experience developing applications with Python and Jupyter Notebooks.
- Familiarity with mission analyst tools and the ability to quickly understand analyst workflows and operational requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies and deliver innovative software solutions in an agile, mission-focused environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar AI coding assistants.
- Experience developing software in Java.
- Experience applying Generative AI or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to operational problems.
Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active TS/SCI with a polygraph. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
