Job description
About this Role
We're looking for an Amazon Lead to own and scale Amazon as a key growth channel across Valerie's portfolio of ecommerce brands and international markets. You'll own the overall Amazon strategy, performance, operations, and growth — from catalog and content to advertising, pricing, promotions, and marketplace expansion. You'll be responsible for ensuring our brands win on Amazon through strong execution, continuous experimentation, and commercially sound decision-making. You'll work closely with Creative, Analytics, Paid Media, Product, Finance, AI, and Brand teams to continuously improve Amazon performance through better data, stronger execution, and faster learning. Success in this role isn't measured by how many listings are managed or campaigns are launched; it's measured by how consistently our brands grow on Amazon, how efficiently we acquire customers, and how effectively Amazon contributes to profitable business growth.
You could be a great fit if...
- You naturally balance strategic ownership with being hands-on in Amazon when the business needs it.
- You enjoy making commercial decisions backed by data, balancing revenue growth, profitability, inventory, pricing, and long-term brand health.
- You have a deep understanding of how Amazon's search, retail, advertising, content, and customer experience ecosystems work together.
- You thrive in fast-moving environments where testing, learning, and adapting happen continuously.
- You enjoy building scalable Amazon playbooks, systems, and processes that can be applied across multiple brands and markets.
- You proactively identify opportunities, spot performance risks early, and solve problems before they become blockers.
- You are comfortable owning Amazon performance end-to-end rather than focusing on one part of the marketplace.
- You can confidently communicate complex Amazon insights to founders and leadership in a simple, actionable way.
- You enjoy working cross-functionally and turning insights from Creative, Analytics, Product, and Brand into better Amazon performance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Amazon/ecommerce, with significant hands-on experience owning and scaling Amazon businesses.
- Proven experience managing and growing Amazon revenue across one or more ecommerce brands and international markets.
- Deep expertise in Amazon Seller Central and Amazon's advertising ecosystem.
- Strong experience with Amazon PPC, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and other relevant advertising formats.
- Strong understanding of Amazon growth metrics including ROAS, ACOS, TACOS, CAC, conversion rate, organic ranking, revenue, contribution margin, and profitability.
- Proven experience with keyword research, campaign structure, bid optimisation, search-term analysis, budget allocation, and PPC scaling.
- Deep understanding of Amazon listing and catalog optimisation, including titles, bullets, imagery, A+ Content, Brand Stores, backend search terms, and variations.
- Experience developing strategies across pricing, promotions, deals, bundles, and product launches.
- Strong understanding of Amazon account health, compliance, catalog issues, and operational requirements.
- Proven ability to use Amazon data and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and make commercial decisions.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working closely with Creative, Analytics, Paid Media, Product, AI, Finance, and Brand teams.
- Ability to lead both strategically and operationally, making high-level decisions while remaining close to Amazon performance and execution.
Bonus Points
- Experience scaling multiple ecommerce brands across different international Amazon marketplaces.
- Experience across the US, UK, EU, Middle East, India, or other international markets.
- Experience with Vendor Central in addition to Seller Central.
- Experience launching and scaling new ASINs from launch through meaningful revenue.
- Experience with Amazon DSP or broader Amazon upper-funnel advertising.
- Experience with FBA, inventory planning, forecasting, or supply-chain coordination.
- Experience building experimentation frameworks across creative, listings, pricing, promotions, keywords, and advertising.
- Familiarity with Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Data Dive, Looker Studio, automation workflows, AI-driven optimisation, or advanced reporting systems.
- Experience working within founder-led startups or high-growth ecommerce businesses.
- Experience building playbooks and operating systems that improve Amazon performance across multiple brands and teams.
You probably shouldn't apply if...
- You prefer managing Amazon operations without staying close to performance, data, and commercial outcomes.
- You see Amazon primarily as a marketplace or catalog function rather than a growth channel.
- You focus only on PPC without understanding how content, pricing, reviews, inventory, and retail fundamentals influence performance.
- You rely on others to identify problems instead of proactively finding opportunities and risks.
- You're uncomfortable making decisions based on experimentation, testing, and changing priorities.
- You prefer highly structured environments where Amazon strategies rarely evolve.
- You're uncomfortable owning Amazon revenue, advertising performance, operational health, and business growth simultaneously.
