Schonfeld Strategic Advisors LLC has an opening for an Analyst in New York, New York
The position duties are as follows: Responsible for supporting the Financials Portfolio Manager by generating differentiated investment ideas in the Financials sector, specifically banks and consumer finance within a market-neutral framework. Day to day job duties include:
- Constructing and maintaining financial and industry models;
- Conducting primary research;
- Preparing financial and industry analysis;
- Generating long and short recommendations for the portfolio;
- Attending industry conferences; and
- Meeting with company management teams and sell-side analysts and developing relationships.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, a related field or foreign equivalent, followed by 3 years of progressively responsible experience as an Analyst, or a similar occupation within the financial services industry. Experience must include:
- 3 years of experience covering the financials sector, specifically consumer finance or banks stocks;
- 3 years of experience with model construction and maintenance, conducting primary equity research and preparing financial and industry analysis;
- 3 years of experience identifying key KPIs for each stock, building detailed financial models which incorporate alternative data sources, and determining variant views relative to consensus; and
- 3 years of experience identifying the core tenets of the macroeconomic landscape and the influence on the financials sector and back testing the coverage universe of stocks.
Part time telecommuting permitted.
Wage Range: $150,000 to $286,000/year
