Job description

Bespoke Post is a lifestyle brand built on the spirit of discovery. We’re dedicated to tracking down under-the-radar goods and creating guides that help our customers level up their daily lives. Whether it’s through our shop, editorial stories, award-winning subscription boxes, or our own lineup of in-house brands, we’re here to shine a light on quality products and interesting people that spark curiosity and lead to richer experiences.

The Role

We're hiring an Associate Merchandise Planner. This is a strategic, data-driven role at the center of how Bespoke Post decides what to buy, how much, and when, turning sales trends and inventory data into the recommendations that shape our assortment strategy. You'll own day-to-day planning for your assigned categories, building forecasts, managing OTB, and digging into SKU-level performance to know what to invest in, replenish, or wind down. You're a partner to our Merchandising team, providing regular analysis and a clear point of view on the "why" behind business recommendations.

What You'll Do:

- Support development of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and inventory forecasts for assigned categories

- Own day-to-day planning responsibilities for assigned categories

- Maintain category-level OTB and reconcile planned versus actual sales, receipts, inventory, and margin

- Analyze historical sales trends and current business performance to identify risks and opportunities

- Perform SKU-level analysis and make strategic recommendation for products requiring additional investment, replenishment, markdowns, or exit strategies for assigned categories

- Partner with Buying on seasonal assortment plans, purchase recommendations, and support category decisions

- Support inventory planning for product launches, marketing campaigns, promotions, and peak periods.

- Analyze forecast accuracy and continuously improve planning assumptions.

- Develop dashboards and tools that make business performance easier to understand and act upon.

- Present key insights and recommendations during weekly/monthly business reviews.

What You'll Bring:

- 2–3 years in merchandise planning, retail analytics, ecommerce, or a similar analytical function

- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills — comfortable with pivots, lookups, formulas, data manipulation, and building models

- Strong understanding of retail math and metrics such as sales, margin, sell-through, weeks of supply, inventory turn, and OTB

- Ability to work with large datasets and identify meaningful trends

- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

- Comfortable building forecasting models and analyzing multiple scenarios

- Excellent communication skills — able to explain the "why" behind the numbers

- Self-starter who enjoys working in a high-growth environment

- Genuine interest in product, customers, and the DTC/ecommerce environment

- Adapt quickly to new tools and systems, including custom-built platforms, to support effective planning, analysis, and decision-making

Compensation, benefits, and perks:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Company equity
  • Opportunity for annual bonus
  • Health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance with FSA options and access to One Medical, Health Advocate, Teladoc, KindBody and Talkspace

  • $250 per month home office allowance
  • Up to $500 per year learning allowance
  • Paid parental leave
