About the Role
You'll be building the infrastructure that powers a new era of private market access. Monark's API infrastructure sits at the center of our ecosystem, connecting private markets to the platforms where millions of investors and advisors already manage their portfolios. As a Backend Engineer, you'll work to power that system, collaborating closely with the founding team to turn business requirements into world class technology. You'll also work directly with our partners, helping them integrate alts into their platforms, gathering feedback, and iterating quickly.
About You
- You're an optimist with a bias toward action. No matter the challenge, your instinct is to look for solutions - fast.
- You're a self-starter who seeks out problems and ships high-quality solutions from scratch.
- You're willing to do whatever it takes, filling gaps, picking up context fast, and wearing multiple hats as we scale.
- You care about more than clean code. You seek to deeply understand our partners' needs and the broader business context behind everything we build.
