The role involves coordinating with verification partners, internal stakeholders, and HR teams while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and process compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end background verification (BGV) for new hires and ex-employees, including education, employment, address, identity, criminal record, and reference checks.

Initiate, track, and close verification cases within defined turnaround times (TAT) while ensuring timely completion.

Coordinate with third-party BGV vendors and internal stakeholders to collect, validate, and process required documentation.

Review verification reports, identify discrepancies or adverse findings, and drive resolution with HRBPs, hiring managers, and vendors.

Maintain accurate employee verification records and ensure compliance with data privacy, confidentiality, and company policies.

Publish regular BGV dashboards and MIS reports, providing status updates, aging analysis, and TAT performance to HR stakeholders.

Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete process documentation and audit-ready records.

Handle escalations professionally while ensuring sensitive information is managed with discretion and confidentiality.

Continuously identify opportunities to improve BGV processes, quality, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in Background Verification (BGV), HR Operations, or Employee Lifecycle Operations.

Hands-on experience managing education, employment, address, criminal, and reference verification processes.

Strong experience working with BGV vendors, verification portals, and HR databases.

Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, reporting), MS Word, and HRMS platforms.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.

Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage high case volumes and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Skills
