Job description

About the role: As a Business Development Manager at Plenti, you’ll play a key role in driving the growth of our consumer lending portfolio and expanding our presence across your territory.

The role focuses on identifying and developing new broker opportunities, strengthening aggregator partnerships and executing targeted sales strategies across our Consumer Automotive and Personal Loan products.

As a key ambassador for Plenti, you’ll build trusted broker relationships and work closely with Relationship Managers and the broader sales team to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Win new business by identifying, acquiring and developing high-value broker accounts across your territory
  • Grow existing relationships with brokers and aggregator partners to maximise engagement, loyalty and market share
  • Own your sales strategy, developing and executing targeted initiatives that deliver against revenue, volume and growth objectives
  • Champion the Plenti brand, actively promoting our Automotive and Personal Loan products and communicating our value proposition to broker partners
  • Be the face of Plenti, representing the business at industry events, conferences, networking opportunities and broker meetings
  • Become a trusted lending partner, providing brokers with training, product knowledge and guidance on Plenti’s processes and lending solutions
  • Collaborate and lead, working closely with Relationship Managers and the National Sales Manager to drive shared success across your territory
  • Stay ahead of the market, keeping across competitor activity, industry trends, market conditions and emerging opportunities
  • Own your numbers, tracking and analysing performance and proactively identifying ways to improve results

About you: You’re a motivated, commercially driven sales professional who knows how to build strong relationships, identify opportunities and turn them into results. You bring a proven track record in financial services, a strong broker network and the confidence to influence, negotiate and build partnerships that drive growth.

You will bring:

  • 3+ years’ experience in sales, business development or finance account management
  • Experience within financial services, consumer lending, broker networks or third-party/intermediated channels
  • A strong and established network across the broker or aggregator landscape
  • A proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
  • Strong knowledge of lending products, credit risk and underwriting
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • The ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that deliver measurable results
  • A highly autonomous approach, with excellent organisation, time management and territory management skills
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across teams
  • A high level of integrity, professionalism and accountability
