Job description

Chief of Medicine — Coral Springs Animal Hospital

Lead the Medicine. Support the People. Shape the Culture.

At Coral Springs Animal Hospital, we believe that world-class patient care happens when clinical decisions are led by clinicians.

We are looking for a respected, visionary doctor to step into the role of Chief of Medicine. This is a senior clinical leadership role designed for a veterinarian who wants to champion medical excellence, mentor peers, and cultivate a thriving professional culture—all while staying rooted in medicine.

Why This Role Is Unique

You lead the medicine; we let you doctor. You won’t be buried in business ops, payroll, or revenue management. That responsibility sits squarely with our Hospital Administrator and operational partners. Your sole focus is serving as the primary voice, advocate, and leader for Coral Springs veterinarians—ensuring medical standards stay high and our clinicians feel supported, heard, and valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Champion Medical Quality & Excellence: Oversee clinical standards, develop SOPs, lead morbidity and mortality reviews, and act as a trusted senior resource for complex cases.

- Lead & Advocate for Clinicians: Serve as the primary leader for Quartet’s veterinary team, fostering a culture of mutual respect, accountability, teamwork, and well-being.

- Mentor & Develop: Support doctor retention, engagement, and growth through hands-on mentorship, constructive feedback, and continuous learning opportunities.

- Build the Team: Partner with leadership and recruiting to interview, select, onboard, and integrate top-tier veterinary talent.

- Partner in Leadership: Serve as the clinical voice alongside the Hospital Administrator to optimize case flow, doctor staffing, equipment needs, and client care resolutions.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree required; board certification or advanced specialty training is strongly preferred.
  • Significant clinical experience in specialty or advanced veterinary practice.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical or hospital environment.
  • Proven track record of clinical excellence, professional credibility, and mentorship.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • High level of integrity, judgment, and commitment to medical quality and patient care.

Benefits

  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
  • Access to the latest technology and treatment modalities.
  • Supportive and collaborative work environment.
