Team Overview

MicroVision is seeking an experiencedOperations Quality Engineer in Orlando, FL.The operations quality engineer will work on-site with our operations team to provide daily support for quality issues/yield improvements related to MicroVision supplied products. Operations Quality Engineer will also work closely with the Operations to perform IQC and FQC inspections and testing to verify conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and robust problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Assist manufacturing teams on fault tracing and troubleshooting issues related to MicroVision supplied products Work with cross-functional teams to analyze and investigate quality issues, defects, or non-conformities to define the scope of the problem and identify root causes and provide support to 8D activities. Respond quickly to quality issues and effectively implement containment activities to Isolate, segregate, or quarantine non-conforming products and issuing and communicating Quality Alerts to minimize the risk of quality issues. Inspect and test defective parts for conformance to the engineering specifications and customer requirements using precision measuring and testing equipment. Provide support for new program part launches and process changes including Change requests and safe launch plans. Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for development of PFMEA and Control Plans. Develop and document procedures and standard work instructions adhering to MicroVision Quality Management System. Monitor process capability and quality metrics. Analyze production data and identify improvement opportunities. Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to reduce defects and scrap. Track KPIs such as FPY, scrap, rework, DPPM, COPQ

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor or Master's Degree in an Engineering or Technical related field 3+ years’ experience in quality related roles

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of AIAG (e.g. APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Contol Plans, etc.) standards
