Role Description

We are seeking an exceptional Data Collection Operator to operate robots through advanced data collection systems and contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI-driven robotics. In this role, you will work closely with our robotics and AI teams to collect high-quality motion and behavior data that trains our robots to perform complex tasks in dynamic environments.

In this role you will:

  • Operate robots using advanced data collection systems.
  • Guide robots through designated motions, manipulation tasks, and workflows to collect high-quality demonstration data.
  • Upload, validate, and organize collected data used for training AI models.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and report operational issues during data collection.
  • Follow robot bring-up, calibration, and shutdown procedures to ensure safe, reliable operations.
  • Collaborate closely with AI, perception, and controls engineers to refine teleoperation pipelines and improve robot behaviors.
  • Maintain a safe, efficient, and organized work environment throughout data collection and operations.

Qualifications

Must-have:

  • Excellent physical coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using data collection equipment for extended periods of time without loss of focus.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for up to 8+ hours per day.
  • Quick learner who can master new physical tasks and workflows efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Comfortable providing and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Passion for robotics, AI, and emerging technologies.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience operating teleoperation systems, humanoid robots, or robotic manipulators.
  • Familiarity with VR interfaces, haptic control devices, or motion tracking systems.
  • Understanding of robot kinematics, motion planning, or control systems.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware and software during teleoperation.
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to the development and scaling of next-generation robotic systems.
