Job description

Location: Ft. Knox Ky, Full Time Remote Required Clearance: Active Secret Certifications: active CompTIA Security+ / IAT level II certification Required Education: B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree. Required Experience: 5-7 years of experience. Minimum of three (3) years of ETL experience in working with Army Human Resource command data on Prem or in a Cloud Environment using PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL databases. Must be knowledgeable in using IBM InfoSphere DataStage leveraging industry best practices for ETL. Position Description Ping Wind is a seeking a mission-driven Intermediate Database Analyst with technical expertise in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) operations and IBM InfoSphere DataStage. As a pivotal member of our team supporting the US Army Human Resources Command (HRC), you will lead the modernization of complex data pipelines. Your primary focus will be designing and optimizing high-volume data integration solutions that ensure the Army’s HR data is accurate, secure, and actionable for high-level decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • ETL Architecture: Assist the end-to-end development, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise-level ETL processes using DataStage to support HRC application structures.
  • Data Integration & Quality: Design complex data mapping and transformation logic, ensuring data integrity across disparate sources within the Army’s data warehouse environment.
  • Systems Maintenance: Provide Cyber and IA database systems maintenance, ensuring all ETL jobs comply with rigid security and Information Assurance protocols.
  • Technical Lifecycle Management: Review and provide sophisticated technical solutions for data projects across all stages of the development lifecycle, from initial ingestion to report generation.
  • Monitoring & Automation: Implement and manage advanced job scheduling and monitoring tools to ensure 24/7 reliability of data pipelines.
  • Documentation: Produce high-quality technical documentation, including data flow diagrams (Visio), mapping specifications, and system architecture briefs.

Required Qualifications

  • DataStage Mastery: hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage and a comprehensive understanding of ETL best practices and patterns.
  • Database Knowledge: Working knowledge of SQL database environments, including SQL tuning and schema Management.
  • Security Certification: Must be professionally certified as Technical Level III (IAT Level III) as defined by DoDI 8570.01-M.
  • Experience: Proven track record in data warehousing, XML/HTML, and open-source development environments.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data transformations to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be a US citizen. Desired Qualifications

Salary Range $84k-$117K The pay range for this job is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
