Long View. A career that helps you get more out of life.

A Long View career helps you get more out of life. We don’t just say it, we prove it. Every day. We’re proud of our reputation as one of North America’s most dynamic IT providers — and we’re even prouder of our culture that allows our people to live life to its fullest. At Long View, we create an environment of collaboration and support, of innovation and enthusiasm, of inclusion and belonging. As a member of the Long View team, you’ll see how our company’s core pillars — Integrity, Competence, Value, and Fun — resonate through the workplace. And in a recent survey, 90% of Long View team members rated Long View as a good or great place to work!

Are you passionate about end-user experience and want to put your exceptional customer service skills to use in a company that values FUN?

We are looking for a client-focused and dynamic Deskside Consultant for our Calgary Head Office branch to work on-site. You will contribute to the business by providing support to end users’ queries related to their software, hardware, and computing platforms in a professional and courteous manner.

A Day in the Life:

  • Provide professional customer service to all employees, including executives, adapting communication to their needs and technical knowledge with patience and discretion.
  • Support Windows 11, Microsoft 365, approved business applications, VPN connections, workplace hardware and meeting room technology, both on-site and remotely.
  • Own ServiceNow tickets through resolution or a documented specialist handoff; prioritize by impact and urgency, update users, confirm outcomes and escalate blockers.
  • Deploy, refresh and troubleshoot devices using Microsoft Intune; validate applications, updates and readiness before handover.
  • Complete assigned onboarding and offboarding tasks, including equipment setup, shipping, recovery and authorized access changes.
  • Coordinate mobile phone ordering, assignment, setup, support and returns while keeping inventory and user assignments accurate.
  • Maintain accurate asset records and follow approved procedures for secure storage, data handling, device reuse and disposal.
  • Troubleshoot sign-in and multifactor authentication within assigned permissions; verify identity before access changes and promptly escalate suspected security incidents.
  • Follow software approval and licensing requirements, document useful solutions, and help reduce recurring issues.
  • Use approved AI and automation responsibly, protect confidential information and validate results.

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years of relevant IT support experience, with strong customer service, troubleshooting, communication and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Intune and device deployment; working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar tools, remote support, networking fundamentals, endpoint security and common peripherals.
  • Familiarity with Autopilot, PowerShell, Citrix or additional device platforms is an asset.
  • Knowledge of mobile device support and lifecycle management for Apple iPhones (iOS) and Samsung or other Android phones is an asset.

Why work at Long View?

  • Interesting work – Be part of exciting projects while accessing all the latest technologies
  • Fun is one of our core values
