About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Director Business Development, Data Centers to develop strategic partnerships with connectivity providers in the Data Center market. This is an ideal position for an individual who understands the Data Center ecosystem, has existing relationships with key players and is looking to expand their experience to bring new connectivity solutions to this market.
How you will make 10x impact:
- Define Taara’s Go To Market and business development strategy for entry into the Data Center Market.
- Identify key players in the Data Center market who provide connectivity solutions to Data Centers.
- Introduce and establish Taara's FSO technology as an alternative to fiber or as a redundant path/resilience to fiber for connecting Data Centers.
- Establish strategic partnerships with key players in the Data Center market, to enable adoption and growth of Taara’s FSO technology in the Data Center market
What you should have:
- Clear understanding of the US Data Center Market ecosystem
- Established relations with key players in the US Data Center Market
- At least 3 years of sales/business development experience in the US Data Center Market.
- 8+ years of experience in new business development, identifying key partners and establishing successful partnerships (preferably in the Telecommunications industry)
- Proven track record of driving long term sales cycles to closure
- Experience in understanding new technology and presenting solutions, highlighting value proposition, to key executive contacts across partner organizations
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- This is a 100% US remote role
- Requires 30% to 40% travel in the US
It would be great if you also had these:
- Salesforce experience is a plus
- Experience in business development/partnerships in the Data Center Market outside the US
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $250,000 - $300,000+ (inclusive of commission) + equity + benefits.Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
