The Role

As Director, Safety Strategy, you’ll lead the expansion of Veeva’s Safety business across China — helping Pharmacovigilance modernize case intaking, processing, safety submission, analyzing, signal detection and safety operations through a unified, cloud-based platform. We’re looking for a strategic, customer-facing leader who understands the realities of Pharmacovigilance business in pharmaceutical sector. You’ll connect the dots between product, marketing, sales, and services to shape a clear vision for digital transformation in Safety business — and turn that vision into measurable growth. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor and industry thought leader, building executive relationships, guiding customers on their journey to modernization, and positioning Veeva Safety as the category-defining solution for next-generation lab management.

What You'll Do

  • Drive growth for Veeva’s Safety solutions and increase market share in China.
  • Provide Pharmacovigilance expertise to capture business opportunities across the product development lifecycle
  • Develop localized messaging and marketing strategies to drive adoption of Safety applications for new and existing customers
  • Direct resources across the customer lifecycle from sales to project delivery and beyond to ensure success in the market
  • Present at industry conferences, lead webinars, and author articles for industry publications

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working in or consulting for the Pharmacovigilance department of a life sciences company or Pharmacovigilance related solution company (Argus, ArisG, PV related solutions)
  • Mastery of NMPA GVP Regulations & Global (MRCT) Compliance.
  • Proven track record in advising customers on the adoption of SaaS/Cloud solutions, specifically helping them navigate the transition to modern Safety technologies
  • Confident in presenting to and influencing senior Safety, Medical and R&D executives to shape modernization strategies
  • A results-oriented leader with a “founder mindset” to drive outcomes, build a business from scratch
