Job description
T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. - Serve as the technical lead for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of plant electrical systems and infrastructure.
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to junior technicians and maintenance staff.
- Assess facility and equipment conditions and make proactive recommendations for upgrades, repairs, and preventative strategies.
- Support the execution of small capital improvement and O&M projects.
- Oversee work performed by external vendors, ensuring compliance with T1 Energy policies, OSHA standards, and local/federal codes.
- Perform electrical wiring, testing, inspections, and maintenance of environmental and life safety systems under regulatory compliance requirements.
- Read and interpret complex diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
- Troubleshoots simple AC circuitry. Identifies and replaces blown fuses
- Systematically perform power recovery of the building
- Conducts operation, maintenance, tests, and repairs of mechanical, electrical and controls equipment, systems, and components
- Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and mechanical support Required Qualifications:
- Journeyman’s license required
- Solid understanding of NFPA, NEC, and OSHA standards.
- Ability to analyze and interpret single-line diagrams, technical blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience working in renewable energy, manufacturing, or cleanroom environments.
- Ability to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift.
