About this role

Moniebook is the business management software that helps Nigerian businesses run sales, stock, accounting, and payments from one place. As a Field Sales Agent, you will find the right businesses in your assigned area, show them how Moniebook works, and sign them up. This is a full-time, field-based role focused on driving merchant acquisition, building strong commercial relationships, and expanding our market presence on the ground.

Responsibilities

  • Visit and actively canvass businesses daily within your assigned territory.
  • Qualify every lead before pitching using our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Conduct live product demonstrations and open engaging conversations by highlighting operational inefficiencies owners may not realize they have.
  • Close deals, secure paid subscriptions, and collect payments.
  • Hand customers over smoothly to the onboarding team for setup and implementation.
  • Build, expand, and maintain a robust lead bank, logging every lead and field visit daily in the CRM.
  • Consistently hit and exceed your monthly acquisition target of 10 new subscriptions.

Experience & Background

  • At least 2 years of proven direct sales or field sales experience (SaaS, FMCG, fintech, telecoms, or similar sectors).
  • Prior experience selling SaaS products is an added advantage (training will be provided).
  • Demonstrated track record of hitting and exceeding sales and acquisition targets.
  • Resident in or willing to actively cover and travel across the designated coverage area.

Skills & Competencies

  • Confident, persuasive, and articulate communicator with strong objection-handling skills.
  • High commercial acumen with the ability to navigate conversations and push deals to a successful close.
  • Self-driven and disciplined, capable of managing routes and time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong local market knowledge, including key business clusters and merchant corridors within the territory.
  • Tech-savvy and proficient with smartphones, mobile applications, CRM software, and routine activity reporting.

What success looks like in this role

  • Consistently meeting or exceeding the minimum monthly target of 10 paid Moniebook acquisitions.
  • Establishing an organized, active pipel ine with 100% daily logging of visits and qualified leads in the CRM.
  • Delivering high customer conversion rates through compelling, solution-led product demonstrations.
  • Ensuring high customer satisfaction and minimal churn through seamless post-sale handovers for setup and implementation.

Why join us

  • Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission potential (including 25% commission on first subscriptions and recurring renewal commissions on acquired accounts).
  • Comprehensive benefits and real opportunities for career progression within Africa's leading fintech ecosystem.
  • Continuous training, learning support, and professional development in sales and technology.
