About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Analyst II to join a leading healthcare organization on a short-term, 3-month contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial acumen, data analysis expertise, and a passion for driving efficiency within healthcare systems. You’ll serve as a trusted financial resource, helping leaders make informed decisions that improve both productivity and cost-effectiveness.

What You’ll Do

As a Financial Analyst II, you will:

  • Partner with administrators and department leaders to provide critical financial studies and insights.
  • Conduct external labor productivity benchmarking for hospital and clinic staff, identifying opportunities to improve workforce efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to explain benchmarking processes, interpret results, and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze large sets of operational and labor productivity data.
  • Develop dashboards and reports that communicate benchmarking results and highlight improvement opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing budget vs. actual variance analysis, investigating trends and highlighting areas for correction.
  • Prepare and present findings on labor productivity initiatives to leadership teams.
  • Support efficiency studies and generate clear, actionable management reports.
  • Serve as a financial liaison across multiple departments and teams.
  • Maintain professional growth and share knowledge by conducting finance training as needed.

What Success Looks Like

  • Ability to independently perform in-depth productivity and benchmarking analyses.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly present findings and influence decision-making.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional healthcare and finance teams.
  • Consistent delivery of accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in financial analysis, preferably within healthcare.
  • Skills:
  • Proven experience with productivity and benchmarking analysis.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, from department directors to operational leaders.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a financial professional looking to make an impact in healthcare through data-driven productivity insights—all within a flexible, 3-month contract.
