About Limetax

Limetax is building the agentic-first accounting and tax group for German SMEs.

We acquire established accounting and tax advisory firms and onboard them to our proprietary agentic platform, combining deep industry expertise with AI-native technology.

Backed by $40m in equity and debt from top-tier investors, we're building and scaling a new kind of accounting & tax group in Germany.

Our founders bring significant experience across M&A, operations, and AI-native technology, having previously built and scaled unicorns, Razor Group and Augustus.

The Role

As a Founders’ Associate, you'll report directly to the founders and work from our Berlin HQ at the center of the topics that shape Limetax.

You'll own projects end to end across M&A, fundraising, strategy, finance, and the operating playbook for our group. You'll move between analyzing a problem, developing a recommendation, and driving it through execution.

The scope is intentionally broad and will evolve with the priorities of the company.

What You'll Work On

  • M&A. Work on live acquisition processes, from evaluating opportunities and building the investment case to due diligence and transaction execution.
  • Fundraising & Investors. Support financing processes and investor-related topics through analysis, preparation, and execution alongside the founders.
  • Strategy. Own high-priority strategic questions and turn complex or incomplete information into clear recommendations and actions.
  • Finance & Accounting. Work on high-priority finance and accounting topics across Limetax and our growing group.
  • Operating Playbook. Help develop the processes and structures we use to integrate acquired firms and scale the group.
  • Founder-led Projects. Take ownership of high-priority topics that cut across teams or don't have a natural owner yet, and drive them through to an outcome.

Your Profile

  • Initial experience in top-tier investment banking, strategy consulting, private equity, or a high-growth startup.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking, with the ability to make decisions even when information is incomplete.
  • High ownership and the ability to take a project from an open question through analysis and execution to a clear outcome.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-stakes, high-intensity environment with changing priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in building and scaling a company.
  • Professional German is mandatory.
  • Available to start ASAP.

Why Limetax

  • Direct founder exposure. Report directly to the founders and work on the company's highest-priority topics.
  • End-to-end ownership. Take projects from an open question through analysis and execution to a measurable outcome.
  • Broad scope. Work across M&A, fundraising, strategy, finance, and operations rather than being confined to one function.
  • Build at an early stage. Help shape the structures and playbooks that will define how Limetax scales.
  • Clear path to leadership. Take on increasing responsibility as the group grows.
  • Meaningful upside. Competitive cash compensation plus meaningful equity.

Why work at Limetax

  • Impact: Work that runs across the entire group – what you build is used by every Limetax partner firm.
  • Ownership: End-to-end responsibility from day one with outcome-based accountability.
  • Product mindset: Entire team (not just engineers) thinks in terms of systems and products, not one-off solutions.

  • Location: HQ in Berlin-Mitte, with an on-site collaborative culture.
  • Culture: Flat hierarchies, modern team spirit, digital-first, focus on automation and transparency.
