About the Role

InterviewNext is seeking a talented Founding Partner CTO to lead and drive the technology vision and strategy for the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping the software development process, building cutting-edge solutions powered by AI, and overseeing the development of innovative products. This role is pivotal in driving the company's success through technological advancements and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. Most important: Have the passion and drive to build new solutions from scratch in an owner role (unpaid until funding is raised or we achieve specific revenue goals.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the software development team in creating innovative solutions powered by AI
  • Develop and implement software development processes and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technology roadmap and product strategy
  • Manage the full software development lifecycle from planning to deployment
  • Drive the architecture and technical design of software solutions
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in AI
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team
  • Ensure the scalability and performance of software applications
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of OpenAI API functionality and experience with generative AI platforms like Claude and Anthropic
  • Expertise in SaaS security and best practices
  • Proficiency in API connectors and integration technologies
  • Proven track record of building a SaaS platform from scratch
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
  • Experience with ecommerce integrations and knowledge of applicant tracking systems
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development and technology leadership

Why work at InterviewNext

  • Culture: Early‑stage, founder‑led environment. Jeremy Reid emphasises integrity, empathy, and a supportive team culture.
  • Remote/Hybrid: Likely remote‑friendly (founder is based in Redwood City, CA, but no explicit policy stated).
  • Notable perks/engineering culture: Opportunity to shape a product from the ground up. However, as of late 2024, the company appears to be a solo operation with no active job openings found on its careers page.
