Job description

TLDR

We build software that helps charities, foundations and funders do their best work. 2,000+ organisations across the UK use us, and we're just getting going. We know what works and what people want now we need more of the right people to find out about us.

We're hiring a growth marketer to bring in more inbound leads, and better ones. You'll work alongside our Impact Lead, who owns content and storytelling. You'll own inbound growth, and tracking inbound growth, how we get in front of the right people, how we turn that attention into leads, and how we know it's working.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own inbound lead gen end to end, get Plinth in front of the right people and turn that into booked calls, balancing volume and quality
  • Take our newer products to market
  • Build a US market, starting with grantmaking foundations
  • Bring structure to our existing content and channels so nothing depends on memory or luck, then share it with the team
  • Work with sales to understand our cycle and shape growth activity around it
  • Work backwards from outcomes: know what SaaS marketing requires and how to cut through to a niche buyer
  • Use AI to move faster than a two-person growth team normally could (research, drafting, and building your own tools and workflows)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • You've had an idea, built it, and shipped it yourself, and can point to results you created
  • You think differently about getting noticed, and you've ideated with a team
  • You're comfortable owning metrics, sharing them across teams, and figuring out how to move them
  • You've worked in digital marketing or paid ads, and you know where that runs out of road
  • You build order out of chaos: systems, content calendars, process
  • You're genuinely into AI for speed. You've used tools like Claude or Claude Code beyond chatting, and you get what they can do for research, drafting, automation, and small workflows

NICE TO HAVE

  • You've created content yourself at some point (it didn't need to work you just need to understand what that process involves, since you'll be working alongside someone who does this full-time)
  • You can look at existing content and see three other ways to reuse it
  • You've worked in or alongside the charity, social impact or local government world
  • You know your way around US grantmaking, or the charity/foundation sector more broadly

LOGISTICS

  • Location: London (we work from the office 4 days a week)
  • Hours: Full Time
  • Salary: £45-55k

Why work at Plinth

  • Real-world impact – Work directly with charities, grassroots organisations, and government bodies to reduce admin burden and amplify community impact.
  • Fast growth and ownership – Growing 3–4× per year; team members have clear ownership over projects that directly shape how the company scales.
  • Collaborative, in-person culture – Office in Old Street, London. Typical time on-site is “In-Office” but the company describes itself as a hybrid workspace (combination of remote and on-site) (builtin.com).
  • Transparency and trust – Open about mistakes, no professional cynicism, good ideas turn quickly into action.
  • Values-driven hiring – Looks for plain language, impressiveness (weird projects), excitement, curiosity, and ambition (plinth.org.uk/careers).
  • Key team composition – Small team of 9 (27% consulting, 7% technical, 7% product, 4% project management) with co-founders still actively leading (linkedin.com).
