Job description
The Opportunity As a critical member of our rapidly expanding Growth team, you’ll help lay the foundation for a fully scaled, best-in-class marketing organization focused on raising awareness of Hinge Health and driving new member sign-ups. This role will be responsible for leading one of our most significant acquisition channels: direct mail. As the channel owner, you will drive strategy and optimization for our large scale direct mail program. In this highly cross-functional role, you’ll work closely with teams across Accounting, Strategic Finance, Procurement, Data Science, Operations, and Creative. You will lead the efforts of a cross functional team of marketers, designers, operations specialists and data scientists toward a collective goal of achieving topline targets while maximizing channel ROI. You and your cross functional partners will achieve this through analytical rigor, robust experimentation, operational excellence and ongoing innovation.
What You’ll Accomplish
- You’ll focus on building, scaling, and evolving direct mail marketing campaigns for our prospective members, optimizing targeting, mailer formats, content and increasing conversion rates.
- You’ll manage and allocate a significant marketing budget with precision and accountability, collaborating closely with Finance, Accounting and Procurement to align budgets with topline expectations and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- You’ll use data and best practices to build a strategy and framework to define and prioritize your efforts, analyzing key metrics (e.g., conversion rates, ROI) and adjust your strategies based on data-driven insights,
- You’ll identify, secure and manage the internal and external resources needed to fully optimize the direct mail channel to build rapid momentum in the growth and evolution of Hinge Health’s acquisition efforts.
- You’ll monitor and report on campaign performance, insights and tests results to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- You’ll stay current with trends in direct mail, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies to continuously refine acquisition strategies.

Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week, for the full 8 hours of a typical business day. The San Francisco office has a dog-friendly workplace program.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in growth, performance, or direct response marketing; paid channel experience is a requirement, direct mail channel ownership strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success driving new customer acquisition using segmentation, personalization and triggered communications.
- Experience driving impact through creative and copy experimentation, including productive partnerships with design teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data to create actionable marketing strategies.
- Ability to prioritize projects and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Motivated and energetic, proven ability to work independently, learn quickly and drive toward defined goals and targets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience overseeing budgets of $10M+.
- Demonstrated experience working within highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services).
- Experience with large-scale vendor management and contract negotiations.
- Knowledge of postal regulations, print production processes, or logistics.
- Previous experience integrating offline (direct mail) and online (digital) channel strategies.
- Proven success implementing automated direct mail technologies or vendors.
