Key Accounts Manager at SOUM (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)
SOUM· Riyadh, Saudi Arabia·
Role details
Job description
About Soum: Soum is a fast-growing B2C marketplace based in Riyadh, connecting buyers and sellers of used electronics and used cars across Saudi Arabia. Built on trust, speed, and a strong sense of ownership, our commercial team is central to how we grow revenue and deepen relationships with the buyers who purchase from us at scale. About the Role: We're hiring a Key Account Manager to own and grow relationships with our buyer accounts — including buyers purchasing products from Soum in bulk. You'll be the primary point of contact for these accounts, responsible for their satisfaction, retention, and growth, while coordinating closely with internal teams to deliver a seamless buying experience. This is a commercial, buyer-facing role. It is not a procurement, sourcing, vendor management, or operations position — you will be developing and managing the accounts that buy from us, not the vendors or supply chain that feed us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of buyer/client accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for buyers purchasing products from Soum.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts, understanding their needs and purchasing patterns.
- Drive account growth by developing new accounts and identifying upsell and expansion opportunities within existing ones.
- Own retention and customer satisfaction, proactively addressing account needs before they become issues.
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, logistics, finance, and product) to ensure a smooth, reliable experience for buyers from order to delivery.
- Track account performance and health, reporting regularly on growth, retention, and satisfaction metrics.
- Identify and onboard new bulk/large-scale buyers to expand Soum's commercial buyer base.
Qualifications: Required:
- 5 years of experience in Key Account Management, Account Management, or Client/Customer Success in a commercial, buyer-facing capacity.
- A track record of developing and managing buyer/client relationships — not vendor, supplier, or procurement relationships.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to act as a trusted point of contact for clients.
- Experience coordinating cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve issues and improve the customer experience.
- Proven ability to drive account growth, retention, and customer satisfaction against clear targets.
- Comfort working with data to track account health, growth, and retention.
- Fluent in Arabic and English. Good to Have:
- Existing relationships with large-scale, second-hand electronics buyers who purchase in bulk.
- Experience managing accounts that purchase at scale (bulk/wholesale) rather than individual retail buyers.
- Familiarity with the resale, refurbished electronics, or B2B wholesale/marketplace industry.
- Experience using a CRM to manage pipeline, account health, and reporting.
