Mercury is the fintech startups use for banking* and all their financial workflows. This turns out to be a pretty wild endeavor, so we’re looking to bring someone smart onto our Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) team to help us out. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual with a background in either risk, banking, compliance, AML, fraud or regulatory to assist our ODD team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of existing accounts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and providing support for our BPO partners.

As part of the journey, we would expect you to:
- Conduct KYC Refresh and/or Enhanced Due Diligence Reviews as needed
- Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary volumes through trends and themes associated to reviews conducted
- Support our BPO partners with escalations tied to various review types tied to CIP, CDD & EDD
- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders and customers
- After account review, document rationale to maintain or exit decisions on customer accounts
- Identify and escalate any potential issues or concerns to management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all reviews conducted

- Have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements
- Be a highly motivated self-starter, comfortable working within a fast paced environment
- Work efficiently and independently, but know when to ask for help
- Enjoy and have experience working autonomously in a queue based role, understanding how to prioritize your work and keep an organized, clean inbox and queue
- Place an emphasis on quality - paying very close attention to detail to keep bad actors out and ensure we’re letting good customers in
- Have great critical thinking skills and enjoy problem solving
- Have great written communication skills

Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.
Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:
US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $85,500—$96,200 USD
US employees outside of New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $77,000—$86,600 USD
Canadian employees (any location): $80,800—$90,900 CAD
