Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Linux Automation Administrator with expertise in Red Hat Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu servers. In this role, you will administer secure Linux environments across both connected and disconnected networks, maintain Kubernetes infrastructure, develop and maintain Ansible Playbooks, and implement secure configuration and monitoring practices across mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong Linux administration and automation expertise, experience working in secure and disconnected environments, and the ability to diagnose issues and deliver reliable infrastructure solutions. Required Qualifications:

  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Technology or a related field and five (5) years of relevant experience. Also acceptable are a Master of Science (M.S.) degree and three (3) years or no degree and nine (9) years of relevant experience.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Expert-level experience with Configuration as Code (CaC) technologies, with Ansible strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise administering RHEL and Ubuntu systems in disconnected or restricted network environments.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies, particularly Terraform.
  • Experience administering Kubernetes clusters and services.
  • Experience securing systems in accordance with DISA STIGs and NIST SP 800-53 security controls.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk, Grafana, or SolarWinds.
  • Experience developing detailed outage and security incident reports, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Knowledge of host-level networking, including network interface configuration and instance-based firewall management.
