Our Loan Administration team plays an essential role in supporting the bank’s lending operations from loan closing through servicing. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented individual to manage key loan administration activities and work collaboratively with lenders, Loan Administration, Operations, Accounting, and other departments.
This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and complete loan documentation, coordinating outstanding loan requirements, processing routine loan transactions, and ensuring assigned loan administration activities are completed accurately and efficiently. The role requires independent judgment, strong follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing a high level of service to internal and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Manage loan administration activities from closing through servicing, ensuring all required documents and information are complete and accurate.
- Coordinate new loan processing and closing by organizing documents, tracking outstanding requirements, and communicating with lenders and other parties.
- Review loan files for completeness and accuracy and help resolve routine documentation issues.
- Process routine loan servicing activities, including payments, payoffs, renewals, and modifications.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper loan files, including loan and collateral documentation.
- Work with borrowers, lenders, title companies, insurance agents, and other third parties to obtain required documentation.
- Monitor insurance, title, collateral, and other loan requirements and follow up on missing items.
- Assist with loan documentation reviews, audits, quality control, and department reporting.
- Maintain spreadsheets, tracking systems, and reports related to loan activity and outstanding requirements.
- Process and distribute incoming mail and loan-related correspondence.
- Work with Loan Administration, Operations, Accounting, lenders, and other departments to coordinate loan activities and resolve issues.
- Identify missing or incorrect information and take appropriate steps to resolve or escalate issues.
- Maintain knowledge of loan documents, servicing procedures, bank policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Protect confidential borrower and bank information.
- Follow bank policies, procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with department projects, process improvements, and other assigned tasks.
- Provide support for other Loan Administration duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of banking, lending, loan administration, or related financial services experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of lending processes, loan documentation, and servicing activities.
- Ability to independently manage assigned loans, track requirements, and resolve routine issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and complete records.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and take ownership of assigned work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with lenders, borrowers, and internal departments.
- Ability to use sound judgment, identify issues, and determine appropriate next steps or escalation.
- Strong problem-solving, follow-up, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
- Working knowledge of bank policies, procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
