Your Impact

As the Finance Manager, you will support the Senior Manager, Finance, in overseeing statutory and management reporting for the Australian entities.

This is a hands-on and technically focused role responsible for ensuring accuracy compliance, and efficiency in reporting, audit, and accounting activities - including support for asset transactions, funding structures, and process improvements. This is a 7-month fixed term contract covering a parental leave.

What You'll Do

  • Support the month-end close process for Australia entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review monthly reporting deliverables, variance analyses, and supporting schedules for Group consolidation.
  • Ensure reporting compliance with Group accounting policies and Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
  • Collaborate with regional and Group finance teams to resolve reporting or intercompany issues.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth completion of year-end audits.
  • Coordinate and respond to audit requests, providing explanations and supporting documentation.
  • Assist the Senior Manager in performing accounting analysis and assessment for transactions executed in Australia, including acquisitions, divestments, restructures, and funding arrangements.
  • Prepare technical accounting memos or summaries to support management decision-making.
  • Support the application of Group accounting policies and ensure consistency in accounting treatment across entities.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize reporting processes across AU entities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and governance.
  • Support automation initiatives and system enhancements in collaboration with the Group Reporting team.
  • Implement best practices to improve internal controls, documentation quality, and workflow efficiency.
  • Provide financial reporting support for asset recycling or transaction-related projects, including analysis and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, and Legal teams on funding, capital structure, or transaction accounting matters.
  • Contribute to business expansion initiatives by providing accounting and reporting inputs as required.

What You'll Bring

  • Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent) with 8-10 years’ experience in financial reporting, controllership, or technical accounting, preferably with multinational or high-growth organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of AASB and IFRS, with experience in accounting for complex transactions and preparing accounting position papers.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and coaching, managing small, high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated capability in statutory reporting, month-end close, and audit management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with Group, Tax, Legal, Treasury and external auditors.
  • Strategic mindset with a passion for process improvement, transformation, and team development.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
