JOB INTRODUCTION

The Manager, Technical Program Management oversees the execution of complex, cross-functional technical initiatives that support Tekion’s product and engineering strategies. This role manages program planning, stakeholder alignment, and delivery execution across multiple technical teams. The ideal candidate combines deep technical understanding with strong program leadership and communication skills, enabling scalable execution in a fast-paced environment.

KEY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive planning and execution of high-impact technical programs from concept through delivery across engineering, product, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Define clear program goals, scope, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with technical leadership
  • Manage cross-team dependencies, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful program delivery
  • Establish operating rhythms for tracking progress, communicating status, and escalating issues across stakeholders
  • Foster collaboration and accountability between engineering, product management, QA, infrastructure, and other key teams
  • Develop and implement program management best practices, tools, and templates to scale the TPM function
  • Coach and mentor program team members to improve delivery practices and execution quality

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6–8 years of experience in technical program management or related roles, with at least 2 years in a program or team leadership capacity
  • Proven ability to manage complex software, systems, or platform programs at scale
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, agile practices, and technical architecture concepts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on stakeholder alignment and delivery clarity
  • Proficient in program management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; PMP, CSM, or equivalent certifications are a plus
