Job description

Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.

Responsibilities

- Design, program, integrate, and commission automation and control systems for gas-engineering projects, from early design through start-up and operational handover.

- Develop and implement automation solutions for manufacturing lines, including robotic systems, machine vision, material handling, and other advanced factory technologies.

- Troubleshoot, optimize, and upgrade in-house and third-party equipment to improve safety, reliability, productivity, and operator experience.

- Collaborate with process, mechanical, electrical, production, and maintenance teams to translate operational needs into robust technical solutions.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including control narratives, functional descriptions, electrical or automation drawings, test procedures, and operating documentation; train end users when required.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, Mechatronic, Computer, or a closely related Engineering discipline.

- At least 3 years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or the integration and commissioning of industrial equipment.

- Practical experience with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, industrial networks, field instrumentation, and communication protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, or similar. Experience programming ABB and/or KUKA industrial robots is highly desirable.

- Experience with, or strong interest in, robotics, machine vision, automated manufacturing equipment, and/or process plants involving gases or other industrial utilities.

- Fluent Spanish and English, with strong communication, problem-solving, and hands-on commissioning skills in an international and fast-paced environment.
